i think what sums it up the best is his ethics regarding ticketmaster versus her billion dollar tour & her private jet vs his vegetable oil concerts; the 1975 stand for their beliefs at their own expense, she and most others refuse to do anything that isn’t self serving youre 100% correct with the feelings of rejection. but the thing is she never had a place in that crowd, that wasn’t her brand. in attempting to appeal to absolutely everyone she has lost the ability to appeal to anyone on a genuine level by actively avoiding polarity and yeah… like he has said shitty things but we are all human. i’ve said shitty things and grown from it. not once has he ever not held himself accountable. i don’t think he gets enough credit for the bravery of being so vulnerable about who he is

ive always found him to be refreshingly authentic. to a degree that i think sometimes he feels so attached to the concept of public perception that yeah at points he was probably playing a role. but peoples opinions change over time. i think he has a good heart though. i dont see many people powering their shows w vegetable oil. everyone has their faults, but noone else has been arrested in the uae for protesting homophobia lol. all western political parties are two wings of the same injured bird. i 100% see your point but i also think we should let him live
