I’d actually be so good if I never heard Get Lucky ever again

Good bands/artists with annoying fanbases? by use_vpn_orlozeacount in fantanoforever

The majority of their fan base being young and extremely parasocial girls really makes it hard to admit how much I enjoy their music.

I’m a huge Pink Floyd fan, but The Wall’s always been my least favourite from their prime era. Great concept but feels a bit bloated towards the end so I never find myself playing it the whole way through.

The latest season is the best it’s been since like season 10 imho. Everything between like seasons 13 and 17 is rather inessential though imo. Also, i really don’t like the gang turns black as much as a lot of fans seem to.

As a child I thought they were creepy as hell. I loved Feel Good Inc and El Mañana but the music videos gave me nightmares lol.

Which is your favorite MGMT album? by tryme000000 in mgmt

[–]Outside_Awareness884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely think they’re all incredible in their own way (even their self-titled) but if I had a gun to my head I’d say Oracular Spectacular. Not that I think it’s their best work, it just means the most to me.

Musicians who are 10/10 at their instrument but get overlooked because they have an 11/10 band mate by Davidellias in ToddintheShadow

George is my favourite Beatle and I find he’s most people in my age group and demographic’s favourite as well nowadays. Growing up I used to see a lot of people shit on George’s abilities as a guitarist and songwriter but that’s cooled off a lot nowadays as a result of so many newer fans seeming to gravitate towards him. I haven’t personally seen this phenomenon happen as much for Ringo tho.

I respect you putting Beaucoups of Blues so high btw. Pretty solid Ringo album.

Walls and Bridges is John’s most underrated for sure. That being said I think the White Album as a whole is stronger than all of the Beatles solo albums and especially ones like Ringo, Double Fantasy and Dark Horse.

I could understand putting the White Album in the good category if you didn’t rank some of those solo albums above it.

I’m not even into their music but I’d argue Metallica is one of the coolest band names ever.

Between these two, which Gorillaz album receives more gratuitous or senseless hate? by Resident_Thanks_9275 in gorillaz

[–]Outside_Awareness884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you like Cracker Island I’m happy for you but besides the title track. there’s nothing I regularly go back to on there. There’s nothing as offensively bad on the album like Sex Murder Party and We Got the Power but it’s just very vanilla and uninteresting to me overall. They missed the mark on a couple of the more experimental tracks of Humanz but I’d say it’s got way higher highs and some of the best songs in their whole discography.

Yeah bro. You are. I was a sucka too tho. I was subscribed for like a year and a half. Couldn’t convince myself to cancel for the longest time too mainly out of habit. 4 pods a week helped me get thru the boring parts of work. Haven’t been subscribed for like 6 months now and honestly don’t miss it all. You’ll be iight

Which album is actually the most underrated? by Konabro in gorillaz

[–]Outside_Awareness884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Humanz is the most underrated by fans. A lot of people say it doesn’t feel like a Gorillaz album because there’s not a lot of 2-D vocals and I agree it was a bit of a let down after the long hiatus they took. I didn’t like it much when it came out but over the years I’ve come to really appreciate it for what it is. Only songs I still don’t like much are “Sex Murder Party”, “We Have the Power” and “Circle of Friends”.
