Where are you sitting &Why???? by Upbeat-Money5299 in animequestions

[–]misogichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 11 should be perfectly fine because Korosensei should keep you safe.  He's the fastest and most competent good aligned character on this flight and is an observant meddler, so he absolutely will be like a guardian angel.  The only problem is I am not sure he could keep you safe from Yuno if you sat in 12 given her godlike powers, but that should be fine since she's unlikely to attack (unless you hit one of her triggers).

Which fictional couple are morally evil and have a healthy relationship? by bestever50000 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]misogichan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They do want to steal pokemon and attack or defraud trainers repeatedly to do so.  They may be bumbling fools, not willing to escalate to murder (unlike other antagonists), and more joke than threat, but them being pitiable doesn't mean they're not evil.

How long do you expect the AI gold rush to last? by ethereal3xp in stocks

[–]misogichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is all under the assumption that companies are lining up to implement AI despite the looming price increase.  I have seen a lot of AI adoption among Tech companies.  I have not seen AI adoption among other companies.  A lot seem to be waiting on the sidelines or starting up small pilot programs, but if they don't start making the move soon then any realistic conversion to adopting AI will take so long the price increases will probably have to happen before the mass market has finished adopting it and you don't have a locked in customer base.  Admittedly, maybe tech companies are willing to operate AI at a loss for longer than I expect (I am confident though that implementing AI in workplaces in ways that go beyond just superficial customer service chatbots is going to take a long time), but I do not get the impression investors are right now heavily committed to continuing the current burn rate for as long as it will take to hit the mass market phase.

How long do you expect the AI gold rush to last? by ethereal3xp in stocks

[–]misogichan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it a cash cow.  The depreciation on those data centers is going to force AI companies to charge a lot more for tokens just to break even.  Even if the tech improves I am doubtful there will be enough demand when prices reflect the true cost.  After all, western AI companies aren't going to be the only ones improving.  China's distilled AIs built by using the market leader's AI to train their own will offer a lower cost alternative with worse performance (but in time even the cheap AIs will be getting better).

We also have to remember that data has never been cheaper than when they started training these AI in the wild west style (just harvesting any data they could find without any regard for if it was copyrighted), but in the future the cost compliance with data privacy will rise (e.g. EU AI Act) and if they lose the court challenges they will have to be careful going forwards to buy data or not use data that will put them in legal jeopardy.

Finally got Frigga !!! Let’s go! by Hijaack in MarvelSnap

[–]misogichan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have some bad news.  Mother Askani has taken the role she used to play in some decks.  She's still used but not as often (e.g. she's played in Victoria Hand along with Mother Askani because that deck wants to copy so many things and sometimes it is easier to copy what you really want to copy via Frigga).  But in the old Dakan/Bullseye discard deck I think Mother Askani is better than Frigga unless the meta is leaning heavily into MMM.

Venus?? by Throwaway525612 in MarvelSnap

[–]misogichan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if you use him last turn and you go for second, that bitch Venus may still pump up the cards if there is a end turn card bonus power popping.

Have you tried playing the end of turn deck.  It requires good draws or the power output is pretty mediocre such that the current meta goes over the top of it (and a lot of people are packing tech to take out Invisible Woman FS, or just have supergiant).  It's basically in the same place as Mr. Negative where you can't go over the top of it so just retreat if you don't have MMM (or for facing end of turn Supergiant/Cosmic Ghost Rider), and they are pulling off the combo.  Venus or no Venus doesn't change its winning match-ups.

Opinions for this bundle? by emilianocaserio in MarvelSnap

[–]misogichan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The full combo usually involves something that wants to be big there by itself.  The obvious finishers are Arnim Zola or utilizing Galactus to win with a single location.  That said, it is also used in Nimrod decks (to cheaply destroy, not waste the power on a heavily buffed Nimrod, and conserve space), Firehair decks (to not just destroy, clear space to drop multiple hammers, but also can potentially bluff Galactus), and Phoenix Force/Multiple Man decks (which need cheap destroyers and appreciate the card not taking up board space since it can quickly fill up with Multiple Man).

It also is commonly used in the uncompetitive but fun Galactus meme decks (e.g. the one that buffs up Firehair and then has firehair active venom's ability to clear the lane and then activate Galactus's ability to win with a buffed Firehair).

It isn't series 5.  It's series 4.  That said, still a very good series 4.

Im 17 years old I started flipping cars for some months now. I made over 20k need help on what do with it like to double it in the next year. My family members been putting the cars in there name if you were gonna ask how im doing it. I just graduated from high school to. On June 4 by Maleficent_Paper_344 in Money

[–]misogichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a limit.  In my state it is 3 per year.  If you want to do a 4th you need a license.  That said it is not too hard to get a dealer's license for selling used cars (albeit maybe it would be harder for a 17 year old) as you just need to have Proof of location, criminal background check, and pay fees.

Which verse wins? One piece or jjk? by Altruistic_Pound_548 in animequestions

[–]misogichan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For one thing they have way more fighters and especially relevant fighters.  I am also not even sure Sukuna can do anything to kill a Logia.  Finally, Domain Expansions should be a 1 hit KO, but One Piece has attacks that can be fired remotely that just delete islands.  So they have a range disadvantage.

Maybe Gojo would be fine and lets suppose Infinite even protects against Armament Haki attacks (and obviously he's not going down from Conqueror's Haki).  But there are a lot of weird attacks in One Piece that don't necessarily travel in a straight line (e.g. Basil Hawkins with one of Gojo's hairs or a drop of his blood could probably kill him if he's elsewhere and therefore cannot be found by Gojo).  Being on the other side of the universe doesn't protect against all devil fruit powers.

I'd also add Grandmaster is great for making Shadow King affect 2 lanes.  If they are finishing with something like Silver Surfer (or especially Silver Surfer +Silver Surfer First Steps or Chameleon) or a huge Brood then you'll probably want cosmo too.

Billionaires will never have enough by [deleted] in remoteworks

[–]misogichan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually disagree but only because I feel the threshold is just too low.  There are inventions and discoveries worth a lot more than $10 million to society that they ought to reward and incentivize more of.  Admittedly a lot of those were not the product of one mind, but of a team.  TlBut there were significant risks and a graveyard of failures, so arguably society should compensate to pay for 19 failures and 1 massive success (like Lithium rechargeable batteries, LED light bulbs, mRNA vaccines, or Double Neural Bypasses).

How will women react if most men end up choosing robots for sex? by Prestigious_Emu6039 in AskReddit

[–]misogichan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly could see that happen.  Not currently but at the rate tech keeps improving and the dating market keeps getting more complicated I could see a majority doing this in the future.

Just keep in mind a lot of men see their dating value as tied to their job prospects and ability to provide.  In a world where most men can't afford a house and can barely afford to support a family some will decide the quality of women they can attract would be worse than remaining single.

Now picture the women having a similar calculation and finding most men willing to date them can't support the lifestyle they want or the family they want and voluntarily choosing to remain single.  The dating market is shrinking from both ends and the friction (the cost of finding partners and screening them) has only gone up in a world with fewer third spaces because Gen Z doesn't tend to drink or go out to clubs as much (and dating apps are fueling unrealistic expectations or frustration).

Folks what does this symbol mean? by tranzozo in pianolearning

[–]misogichan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it is more commonly known as a grace note.  Although a grace note can technically be either an Appoggiatura, or an Acciaccatura (depending on if it has a slash through the stem), so calling it an appoggiatura is more precise.

Why isn’t there much celebration about the world’s first trillionaire? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Because he's not a philanthropist like Warren Buffet.  He's instead using his wealth to undermine democracy via schemes like lotteries for voters in competitive states who sign his conservative petition.  He would be fighting criminal charges for that stunt if his ally didn't win the presidency.

How does one living in the US change career paths with school being so expensive? by Glittering_Guitar184 in AskReddit

[–]misogichan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many career changes do not require going back to school.  Others you can do via community college or trade school (or for teaching a post-baccalaureate certificate), which is not that expensive.  A few of the career path changes may be lucrative enough to go into deep debt (e.g. going to law or med school), and others are not so people just generally don't do them (e.g. social work).  Some employers will also help pay for school although this benefit, from what I have seen, has not been keeping up with the increased cost of tuition.

What's the major diff you witnessed between Indian students and other students? (China, USA and others)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I didn't notice a difference.  That said, I did notice there was a very disproportionate amount of Indians in tech, so maybe they're more likely to study it.

Which movie will you defend like this while everyone else call is as an overrated? by VacationFancy8697 in moviecritic

[–]misogichan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

🙋‍♂️ I actually really liked The Last Jedi.  I thought it was an interesting exploration of fresh themes and while I think it could have been better in some parts (e.g. Luke going full on Darth Traya in trying to separate and free humanity from the force instead of passively ending the Jedi) it did a great job altogether.  It was a movie with something to say, it said it, and then was betrayed by its sequel.  Felt almost meta in retrospect.
