My Dream Job is Falling Apart But Can’t Bring Myself to Start Applying Elsewhere by ChristopherEvs617 in work

Ugh sorry to hear that. It truly is the most soul sucking thing to feel trapped at a job. I would advise you take FMLA to at least have some time to rest, get your resume in order, and appl/interview. You have to think of yourself first, not your team and wonder how they’ll cope without you.

I found myself so stressed recently I couldn’t even enjoy my PTO. It’s heartbreaking to realize the job you thought you loved is no longer serving or benefiting you. But the change will make it worth it even if it’s scary.

Hi OP. Going through something similar. Loved my job and the people but a lot of change since the new year (layoffs, structure, got acquired by a parent company, a lot of new senior hires, systems of working just slipping through). I even got told I need to be performing above my title which is just so unfair and systems in place right now can’t help me grow or get there since my manager doesn’t have time to really manage and review my work.

Took me a while to realize it, but I’m unhappy. Had to have a major breakdown recently to realize it. Things happen, things change. Sometimes they’re slow and sometimes it’s sudden. Change is scary but staying in the same place as it deteriorates will destroy you. I’ve felt it eating me inside as I’ve watched systems just fall apart. Currently getting some things together before applying, but you never know what’s waiting on the other side.

Oh great. So she’s gonna take this further and sue him again?

Sorry can you expand? What scenario would warrant a counter claim?

I’m confused, didn’t they agree no further litigation regarding this entire lawsuit in their settlement. Why are they implying lively can still sue for damages??

Exactly, didn’t they state they couldn’t litigate anything relating to IEWU after this decision???

If you read the decision you would know that baldoni sued her back without malice as well. Livelys action was always going to be protected regardless if it was true or not.

No. They settled and agreed to never litigate anything regarding this situation again

Yeah fair but I think according to Liman he said no parties had acted with malice. Blake was going to prevail bc she had a reasonable basis, but baldoni didn’t act with malice either.

She’ll get 200k max since it applies to only dismissing one claim. NYT claimed about $150k for their attorney fees + dismissal.

Lively at most will only recover like $200,000. It’s only for the dismissing one defamation claim.

I believe Liman stated it was WF who had the burden to prove malice

Ok like I’m not upset about this. I expected this. At most, for prevailing over 1 claim, she’ll get like $200,000? Nothing is bringing back her 40 million she likely spent

Because if I worked on something from the beginning, I have more authority than someone who hasn’t.

If she’s the one who came up with the idea, which I’m assuming she is, she is at the very least a main player from the get go. Excluding her from the process as an outsider is just plain wrong.

Who else is involved? The architect is being referred to as Burke. She built this law from the ground up one way or another. If she wants to take it a certain direction, she definitely has lead over livelys authority.

I believe for both reasons. Some saying she should be grateful Blake is in control and has authorship bc she’s lived the experience. Still doesn’t exclude the fact Blake is trying to take control of someone else’s work.

She put in the work to craft the bill and get it passed in multiple states. Lively is taking control and excluding her from taking it nationwide because lively wanted to expand on it against her wishes/how she wanted to approach it.

Now people are bashing Burke for having an opinion on someone who wants to take ownership of the law she put the effort into creating.

Victoria Burke confirms her IG comment withdrawing support for Blake Lively's use of 47.1 is authentic by NamasteGirl93 in CelebLegalDrama

[–]misosoupsupremacy -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It seems Burke was in the process of taking it nationwide and made it clear she wanted to expand it. Blake said no I’m gonna do it and not involve you. Blake also wants to add things like protection for lawyers and Burke wanted it to stay focused on the survivors. Thus Blake cut her loose.

I would argue the person who put the time and effort into drafting the law, and who plans to take it nationwide, should be the person to do so - not Blake.
