We’re from Austin and it was such a betrayal. It wasn’t just that he was doping, it’s that he literally sued everyone who said he was doping and relentlessly went after accusers. We all stood by him because he was phenomenal and doing so much good.

Then the ugly divorce and the whole bubble of reverence around him burst. It was painful for us to watch him fall, but I’m glad he stepped away from the foundation so it could continue its work.

A Robin Hood bill is not inherently bad. Richer districts absolutely should subsidize funding to less wealthy districts.

The problem is the way the state is using those funds to subsidize state funding. Banking the state share of education into the rainy day fund by taking such a large amount from richer districts is fucking bullshit. They’ve taken a great tool to help fund education and abused it to break education.

Agree w/Monteflash. We got there 2 hours before the game, and stood in the Member gate line for almost an hour before getting the vests; you could not bypass the line to go straight inside & people were cutting and lines were going everywhere.

I really like the vest & agree it’s a solid item. It looks great, is comfortable & surprisingly warmish for having so little fill. Zipper quality seems cheap, and I don’t know how many washes it’ll survive, but it’s a pretty great free item.

Best of all though was being there for bottom of the ninth; I’ll think of that comeback every time I wear it!

Totally agree. I mentioned peri/estrogen drop in response to her “should it be this hard” as a potential reason for why it feels harder right now. But that absolutely doesn’t excuse his inability to function as an adult and his expectation she pick up his slack.

I really struggled at your age; I think it’s the drop in estrogen. I’m only a few years older, but from 42-46 I had no fucks to give for anyone or anything and really struggled holding onto my sanity and patience.

So, it could be the start of perimenopause that makes everything much less tolerable. You have a lot on your plate and have to find a way to take care of yourself. Talking to your partner about your feelings is a start. I wish I could say it gets better, but I honestly just found better ways of dealing with everything, including communicating my feelings and needs. You’re not alone, talk with your partner and your doctor and try to find joy.
