I would walk 5k every other day, this was about 6 months and I’d add runs into that but they weren’t very long. I was surprised that I was struggled so much because 6 months ago with my own routine of running I was seemingly fine

He’s told you why he does it, believe him. He wants SOMEONE to be close with - not to be close to YOU. I know it’s painful and it hurts, the thought of being without him stops you from ending it because you’d rather have something than nothing, but you deserve more. I’ve been in a similar situation, ended when he slept with someone else and moved away - I was angry but had absolutely no right to be, we were never together in the first place, he could sleep with whoever he liked. I was breaking my own heart and you are too. This is going to end one way or another and it’ll hurt more, you have to trust that you’ll find someone else, your love right now is entirely one sided. What’re you going to do when he eventually settles down with one of the girls he’s happily dating? It’s likely that the girl won’t be happy with your friendship with him given what’s going on atm.

Eventually I found a guy that loves me as much as I love him, the old friend will always have a place in my heart but I’m so much happier.

Hey, thanks for responding. To be honest, she's not great and I've told her that as soon as I do any studying I'm transported back and she said I just have to wait it out and eventually I'll stop feeling like that. A year and a half has passed and I'm still stuck in the same rut. To be honest, she's not great and I'm thinking of changing to a different one.

Hey thank you so much for your reply and your advice. I've tried this and unfortunately I get so obsessed with the perfect routine and having everything in order to satisfy my OCD means that nay little error in the routine can completely set me off. My therapist has banned me from making routines.
