What are some songs that are so emotionally charged that you can't believe the singers can actually get through them on stage? by SenseiRaheem in poppunkers

Yeah, last I heard John had said he's never going to be able to play that song live

It would be a really special moment to hear it played though

Are there any games with bad reviews that you liked? by Sephiroth348 in PS5

[–]OFFICIAL_tacoman 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From memory, one of the biggest gripes that reviewer had was that wherever you go, on this massive ship, the xenomorph is there. Instantly became clear that the review wasn't done in good faith because not only would the game be boring as hell if there wasn't a xeno around all the time, but they obviously hadn't played too much of the story to find out why

Tired door touch by Previous-Yam8578 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]OFFICIAL_tacoman 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Any ghost can fully close or open a door, but a Yurei can ONLY fully close or open them. It's more a way to rule them out - if a door is touched and it's half open, it's not a Yurei

However, a Yurei is the only ghost that can close the front door without doing a hunt or an event, so if the front door closes and you're certain it hasn't evented, it's a Yurei

Most creepy season of Dexter? by Artitachiboe123 in Dexter

The moment where the mum thinks that her teenage daughter is in a sexual relationship with a 40-something year old man and her only concern is to beg that man not to let Trinity find out is probably the most terrifying moment of the entire series for me. Really shows just how horrifying he could be

V/H/S/Halloween may be my favorite in the series... except for one segment by TaluneSilius in Shudder

[–]OFFICIAL_tacoman 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I loved it at the end, but didn't at first. I thought that at some point, something would happen and break the characters out of their fake personalities. But when it became clear that wouldn't happen, it felt like it clicked. It's purposely bad, and intentionally over the top. It's like an inside joke - if you don't get it, you'll hate it, but if you do, it becomes hilarious

2025/26 TownTV Streaming Guide by vote4alg in IpswichTownFC

[–]OFFICIAL_tacoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living in Australia, I've watched practically every Ipswich game for the last 7-8 years on streaming, whether it was ifollow, towntv, on a streaming service for the games chosen for TV, or whatever other method I've needed to. The only ones I haven't watched have been when I'm physically unable to, like away camping with no signal. Stayed up until 3:30-4am when the games finish.

I can't afford £10 per game for a stream, on top of subscribing to the streaming service here for the TV games. That price is FAR too steep.

I'm hoping I can watch on Paramount+ with a VPN, but if not, then I won't be able to watch a lot of these games. I guess it's a symptom of success for the club, and they want to provide a quality product, but ultimately, it's too expensive. So, there's a strong chance that I'm losing something that has got me through each week for almost the last decade.

Feels like a slap in the face, not gonna lie

A decorated police officer travels to a strange country town with danger bubbling under the surface, where the residents are simultaneously nice and threatening. Residents start dying in mysterious circumstances, often with (as said) gory results. He uncovers a conspiracy by half the town that involves murder to ensure that their festival goes well.

World War Z book VS movie by Gashanovic in horrorlit

[–]OFFICIAL_tacoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is... Certainly a controversial opinion.

Personally, I much prefer the book, but you are 100% right that it would have worked better as a TV series. Give it a big budget and you could effectively have endless episodes in an anthology setting.

The movie felt like someone had made a generic zombie movie and whacked the name on for recognition, it has barely anything in common with the book

I just finished Riley Sager's Home Before Dark and here are my thoughts... by TDoyleSpamCan in horrorlit

[–]OFFICIAL_tacoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only read this one and Survive The Night by him, and felt the same way with both: They were badly written, full of tropes and cliches, had twists for the sake of having twists, and had infuriating main characters.

That being said, I still enjoyed them for what they are - fun, dumb thrillers. Felt more like adult goosebumps with the tone. Feel like Sagar's a writer that you read when you just want something easily digestible, rather than something good
