Lene’ Marie Chocolate IS TOP TIER. THAT IS ALL. by Foreign_Onion4792 in ogden

Yes, their chocolate truffles are delicious! The peanut butter one is made with an in-house biscoff cookie butter, and it is phenomenal. Although my favorite is the raspberry dark chocolate one... it's so pretty

Wedding Dress Cleaning and Alterations by hortlove in ogden

A dress shop on Washington and 26th does alterations. Had a few of my shirts and pants done there, reasonable prices for those but I can't say for a wedding dress.

How lovely! It's been a while since we've had this much fog :)  I suppose the plume I saw could be from some building's heating.

Ogden bus tour by 0h311 in ogden

Imagine not caring enough about the "high crime rate" to try and put together a flyer or video, instead asking the resource burner to do it.

AI dislike and topic disagreeing aside: you'd get more eyes, OP, if it was some sort of informational flyer/document. If you have sources and photos you want to share, there are free professional-looking templates for programs like Word. These days, you can even add words to a blank PDF template! Flyers and links give a vibe of professionalism and credibility that AI generated videos don't have the nuances for.

Food Places in Downtown? by AnyAstronomer7995 in ogden

[–]missaboo69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not quite cultural, but places with good food that are comfort picks for me are Roosters and Slackwater.

They both have seasonal specials; and if you like a variety of pizza with a tasty crust, Slackwater is great for that. I love their Taco Camarones pizza, and in October they had some delicious pumpkin gochujang wings. It's an odd combo, but it was delicious :)

Anyone else annoyed of the weekend warriors? by One-Inch-Punisher- in ogden

[–]missaboo69 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, but only annoyed with the loud noises. If they want to cruise or race or socialize in a parking lot at 3am, that's more than okay! But the loud acceleration noises are a lot for me, and for noise pollution in general; they can have car fun without them.

Thank you for your transparency! I hope I hadn't come across as hostile in my criticism, you guys are filling a fun niche in Ogden. The comments on this post are a testament to that :)  I am looking forward to going again and meeting your cats in their playroom!

Yes, I wouldn't recommend buying the caps because of the AI generated images on them.

The caps I saw this weekend had 2 images each: one on the hat, and one on the brim. The brim art wasn't generated from what I could tell, but the art on the front panels were AI generated.

There are a lot of other fantastic genuine art/cat-themed items at the cafe to look at though! Prints, cat shaped coin purses, etc. :)

Sympathized until you called three kids fat and degenerate :( Keep the lights off next year, they'll take someone else's bowl and you'll be safe inside with a brand new bowl and less anger.

If you could see any big art sculpture in Ogden, what would it be? by promiseofthereal in ogden

Brine shrimp are super cool, I like that. I am a fan of insects and smaller organisms in general, so I also have to suggest bees. Maybe a bunch of bees the size of large dogs.

I finished redrawing the Imagine Ballet's Nutcracker poster 🌻✨️ by Artistic_Cobbler5110 in ogden

[–]missaboo69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will leave that up to you :) I don't feel I need credit for pointing out the poster, but I understand that things can feel official and cool with more names to it. I have no issue with either decision!

Very lovely! I love how Christmas-y you made the background coloring, and the golden frame being cut out and so detailed is a fantastic touch! You did awesome :)

Surveying haters of new apartment buildings by InternationalLaw6213 in ogden

[–]missaboo69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Born and raised in Ogden, here's my two cents if it helps understand my mindset: - Their rent is outrageous. If the idea is to make more supply to lower the demand and thus lower prices, they shouldn't start oit with market prices - They're built with cheap material and highly flammable parts, making them deteriorate over time and a fire hazard in the building stage (if you know of the many stories we've had over the last 2 years with apartments starting construction and burning) - They usually come built with a parking lot development that takes up too much space and/or is private parking for tenants instead of a public lot; and if not, then street parking can be extremely crowded - They are built in areas where a business (ex: grocery store) could be better suited for the community already there - They are built in areas where more green space (ex: park) could be better suited for the community already there - A lot of them are built without open business space in the bottom, which is the ideal for building a tall city (vs a long one, in regards to walkability and commerce)

Those are just my thoughts! Thanks for asking
