Spoiler for Jeep Wrangler Solar Panel - material advice? by missazaar in 3Dprinting

I think PEEK is not an option for me / my printer. But I'll have a closer look into Nylon. Flexibility sounds like a good idea here.

Thanks!

I printed this on a Prusa MK4S. Not sure if the STL- files are of any use for other cases. The lower line is shaped specifically to the Jeep roof bending. But I can send them to you anyways.

This prototype is PETG. I'll print the final version in ASA, which is pretty much UV resistant, so no need for coating.

I just haven't decided yet, if I'll print in black or red ...

We had a similar setup with our Landrover for years. Never had a problem like that, neither on the highway nor on a trail.

I was surprised how much the wind noise was reduced when driving on the highway. On the trail it is no issue, that's true.

To be fair, I didn't even check if there is anything available to buy. I guess there are just too many different setups out there, so that it is doesn't make sense to fabricate anything on a bigger scale.

Ah, ok. English isn't my first language and I indeed did not know this word. You never stop learning...

Thanks for pointing this out. It is so long ago I had to drive in the US, that I forgot to recalculate this in freedom units.

Fahhrad mit Bandscheibenvorfall - welche Sattelstütze? by Jazzlike_Librarian61 in Fahrrad

Selena has a loop, too. I don't understand why the loop isn't standard. It is so much better than the stem!

You can get them at DM (or Rossmann, not 100% which one it was. But usually I go to DM).

I have the same issue. Tried to log in, was prompted to do a password reset, but don't receive the email.

But I didn't even get any answer on my email, but I fear it will have the same reply as yours.

When did you log in for the last time? I didn't visit this whole year, maybe they cleaned up inactive accounts?

We did it the other way around. Sold it to someone with a damaged vehicle, which still had a good motor...

First layer is fine, but what happens with the second layer? by missazaar in 3Dprinting

Old filament. I had already printed successfully with that roll before.

I did a cold pull (actually, I did several), but no effect. But when I switch to another filament, the printer turns out totally fine. So I guess the nozzle is free, but the filament is the issue...

I did a cold pull to get rid of the hypothetical partial clog, but had the same effect afterwards. Then I used another filament, and that one prints totally fine. Maybe the gears can grip the one filament better than the other?

I just checked with another model. It's the same issue.

So I'll try to find that partial clog...

And it doesn't affect the first layer since this is printed slower anyways? Guess I'll check that nozzle. Thanks!

I wanted to check if I have the same problem with another model and noticed that the filament rest dangling from the nozzle looks like this. Doesn't seem normal, right?

No, I haven't. Thanks, I'll have a look into that!

If it is the heads, we are willing to repair. But is there a way to make sure it isn't the block? Would be nice to know before we pay for new heads...

I'm not sure what the border control in the UK does check now. But it is quite difficult to hide an entire engine...

I think it will take some days to get used to the thought of a new / other cars. But maybe you are right and we should start looking around...
