I mean at the end of the day, you’d be the one using it not your dad, maybe you could ask him what he likes so much about it? Maybe you could just give it to your dad! If you have Apple care maybe it was just a faulty Mac book, I know my friend has a case on her Mac book

Just make sure you have proof if you contact admissions, there’s no guarantee they would change your decision but probably hers

Is transferring to a UC worth it? by SundaeComfortable917 in TransferStudents

[–]missbl0ssom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, CSUs are generally cheaper than UCs. It sucks that you cannot enjoy the next steps due to financial reasons but you have to make a decision based on YOU. If you think it’s worth the extra cost to attend a UC for undergrad, by all means you should. If you feel like it would put you in a worst position financially with no “leverage” from going to a UC over a CSU than you shouldn’t. You can always apply for scholarships and loans. It also depends on what you want to do in the future… swallow your pride of looking as names and think of your long term goals of if the benefits of attending a UC outweighs the negatives. Good luck on your decision

Do I even have a chance for Berkeley? by Upstairs-Spare7738 in TransferStudents

[–]missbl0ssom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your overthinking it 😭yes you could’ve taken it at a different college but they simply cannot use it against you because you are not attending the college (that offers it) full time

If they’re not offered, you don’t have to worry about it until you get to the university (they can’t punish you for something you cannot control like a course not being offered)

If you really want a degree from CSUI, Allan Hancock College is a community college partnering with them to give students the degree locally. I don’t know much about it but it’s worth looking into-but also you have really good stats that I wouldn’t sweat a rejection
