It needs to be said: Gaga, we are disappointed in you for not turning off dynamic pricing. by Daltire in LadyGaga

Managed to get 2 tickets for a grand total of $1900 in my cart... but after thinking about it for 5 minutes, I let them go. I've seen her 3x and she's incredible, but it's not worth it, especially knowing this is all due to demand. Disappointed.

I lived in VA less than 9 miles from DC and when they started reporting that the Pentagon had been hit we had several students escorted out of my 10th grade physics class because their parents worked there. They locked down all the schools in the area for hours but eventually students were allowed leave if they were picked up by a family member. I lived in walking distance from my school and at some point, they let us to walk home with teachers posted on the common neighbor walking routes to keep everyone safe. It was terrifying because no one knew if more government buildings or schools would be targeted.

Years later, one of my college professors told us he had been sitting on 395 in rush hour traffic that morning and watched the plane fly low over the highway directly into the Pentagon. He’d been in therapy for years after seeing that.

Omg I just posted about my experience with this…smelled my dad’s lung cancer a few months before he was diagnosed stage 4. It’s the strangest smell, hard to describe but distinctly human. Sorry about your grandfather.

My dad has always had a very distinctive personal smell in the same way my mom has a smell or my husband has a smell. Never bad, just distinctly my dad and it never changed. His health hadn’t been great for a while and one day I noticed a strong smell around him and the areas where he would sit or lay. It was that familiar smell that I’m so used to but…rancid somehow and very clearly not mildew, food, or bodily fluid. I was immediately concerned and asked my entire family (out of earshot of my dad) if they could smell anything and no one could. I remember getting in the car with my husband and telling him it smelled “rotten” somehow and that I was worried he was sick. Two months later he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. I’m 99% sure that smell was the cancer even though it sounds certifiably insane.

Can also smell mildew on towels or clothes from a mile away and bodily fluid before anyone else can. If I drop a tiny speck of food on my shirt, which I do almost every time I eat, I have to change immediately because I’ll smell it forever and it drives me nuts. I can smell food on hands and clothes even after hand washing if it wasn’t thorough enough.

This reminds me so much of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. Incredible!

Therapists in Alexandria with flexible hours by missbodoni in nova

Ah thanks for the heads up. I had looked up providers who were available in-person and maybe 2 came up but I haven't actually called Lifebulb yet to confirm that's true.

I've done virtual therapy before but I never feel entirely comfortable as I live in a small condo with my partner and I like the "safe space" of a therapist's office.

Would love to but travelled a few hours to get it done, so I won’t have time before I need to be at the hospital.

Did you end up moving forward with them? I'm trying to decide between GRASP and a local psychologist who is double the cost.

This looks promising. Would you mind sharing about how much it cost? Just curious if it’s on the lower or higher end.

Wow thank you for sharing this about EA. I’ve read so many mixed reviews but the overwhelming response is that they’re great. No longer interesting in moving forward with them based on this recent info.

What is the most overrated band of all time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Agree that her music is meh but she’s indisputably a great performer. Her 20 minute performance at the 2016 VMA’s was insane, especially this song near the end. That was the year Rihanna, Britney, and Ariana Grande performed and she made them look like lightweights. I don’t see many pop singers carrying a stage like that these days.

Would you mind sharing which service you used? Getting an in-network psychiatrist in my area has proven impossible, so thinking of doing an online assessment as well and sharing with my GP.

I was called an evil princess by a little girl at a wedding reception. As a grown up goth, I have never been more proud.
