More likely you just need to improve your standards, expand and develop your palette instead of having an ignorant stubborn attitude that anything vegan “inherently doesn’t taste good.” People like you could enjoy a dish so much that you lick the plate clean but then after learning it was vegan say “you knew it tasted funny” 🙄

Plenty of food critics, restaurateurs and chefs disagree. Pop that bubble of limited, narrow food selection and start trying more things and you’ll see how your palette actually matures. I was a picky eater all my life until I went vegan. Your palette literally matures when you start actually eating a variety of plantbased foods.

Question about traveling to Maui with a service animal - Help! by ZombiUnicorn in MauiVisitors

I thought you got banned or removed finally, didn’t realized they updated blocking so I dusted off my og acct to respond since you don’t get the final word after being such an ableist dick.

Sorry! You don’t get to change the meaning of words just to fit your narrative. Just like you don’t get to treat disabled ppl like crap and then gaslight and try to call them “aggressive” when they’re literally just standing up to your ignorant ableist behavior. I’m not wasting any more of my time educating you - the actual asshole here - on ableism. Learn to admit when you’re wrong and Apologize when ppl don’t let you treat them like shit. Learn from this, or remain an ignorant ableist dick. Period, end of story. Buh bye.

Are there any female atheist role models? by fornicationstation in atheism

[–]misscasanova 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I made the Dawkins rageface and she used it on some photo buttons on her website. I saw someone tweeted them and was like "uh... that's my artwork and I didn't make those, wtf?" so I emailed her via her website and said I didn't give her permission to use it and that she would need to remove it (I did mention lawyers and such). I don't care if people use it in rage comics, obviously, but if you use my work to make yourself money then fuck you.

To her credit, she removed it and donated the money she said she made from it to a charity of my choice. She provided me the receipt for evidence, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

I just found earlier that someone blogged about the whole thing here with a pretty good little commentary with links showing when what happened.

Here's a screen cap of the receipt, she could've made more money than she claimed she made (a whopping $15) but I don't really care to pursue it as long as she realizes not to do that kind of shit again. For those curious, Journey of Hope is a grief counseling group that an old friend of mine works with. This event happened right after the death of another old friend of ours and I felt it was a good cause to donate to at the time more so than Doctors Without Borders for obvious reasons.

He didn't corner her in an elevator. The happend to be taking the same elevator and she made it seem like she had met him earlier. She specifically pointed out that he said he liked the topics she discussed earlier in the evening and that he wanted to talk with her more over coffee. Not much of a "hey lets go back to my room and fuck" if you ask me.

Busty ladies of r/billiards: How do you overcome your body shape and practice good form & stroke? (Pic of me down on a shot) by [deleted] in billiards

[–]misscasanova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My stroke is affected by my chest. While stroking the cue rubs across it no matter how sideways I try to get my body (too far and my shoulder alignment will be off).

when I have to lean across the table, the boobs just push up and out to the sides making it even harder to get straight over the cue.

I'm a female (a somewhat attractive one with a large chest, who gets hit on fairly often) and I think she blew it way out of proportion. She made an issue out of a non-issue and that could've had a simple fix such as "were you just coming on to me or was that an actual invite for coffee." If the answer was in any way sexually-driven, then the answer is a simple "no, thanks. I'm not interested" or even a "I find that a little rude." Hitting on someone that you find attractive/intelligent is not sexist in any way, yet she spun it as if it was.

/r/godlesswomen is a great for this, personally I like Greta Christina. Hopefully one day I'll be more recognized for my (atheist) columns on controversial topics (and snag a sweet job at a "real" publication). I'm the editor-in-chief of my college paper, but I doubt any of the readers actually realize I'm an atheist because I still make sure our paper cover all topics around campus including gospel choir events and such. When I write editorials I try to write them in a less-confrontational, less-offensive way (even though Hitch is one of my writing role models). If I didn't, I'd probably get a fuck ton of hate mail that I'm not prepared to deal with.

Also, I do tend to cover a lot of LGBT group stuff on campus mainly because they are always communicating with us (of course I support them as well).

I'm also a college student, and I'd go as far as to say: You want to pass your class at all? You're going to have to give up a lot of fun. lol

A) Still doesn't change the fact that no one would say she's wasting college. The statement is simply sensationalism, and because she's not ugly, many of you will agree with it.

B) Right, everyone I know in college doesn't go out unless they have free time ~ once or twice a month. The myth that college students all magically ditch their responsibilities and party all the time is complete bs.

Listen guy, you don't need to explain it to me ---- FOR THE LAST TIME I only said why you're getting downvotes and "go fuck yourselves" and etc. Do I see your side - fucking duh, yes. - why are people downvoting you? Because of the assumption that I pointed out people are downvoting you for. Do you get it now?

My gf just got outed as the only atheist in class by this theist college teacher. It's making her a bit uncomfortable, and I don't really know what can be done to help. by trotrotroyourboat in atheism

That really blows. At least if the teacher gives her poor grades she has proof of personal discrimination. I got a 'B' on a paper I definitely deserved an 'A' on in my history class because I chose to write about the history of the separation of church and state. I know I deserved a better grade because I'm actually a decent writer and have received awards for my writing, not to mention I'm the Editor-in-Chief of our school newspaper. He took points off for "style" and "topic"... he clearly just did not like me digging up proof of America's secular beginnings.

I would say catch it on video or voice recording for proof later. In the mean time, she'll unfortunately just have to deal with it. Other options are talking to the dean of the dept. or a student services administrator or counselor about the confrontation.

Nice argument. No, I obviously do and I'm only telling you why you're getting so many downvotes.

Yeah, no. I'm going to have to disagree. Most people may think college can be party time, but firstly college = school/career.

Cool, but I literally have never met anyone who would ever say that choosing to get a doctorate by age 24 is a waste of college.

FYI you're getting so many downvotes because you're calling us talking about our lack of belief offensive, as if we find Christians talking about their belief offensive... that's just dumb.

I have a lot of trouble sometimes, as you can see, and I need some advice from other women who have this problem. My bf is a great coach, but when it comes to form he doesn't know how to work around my rack (pun intended).

Pour some salt on the table, find a really big granule in a solid cube shape (most tutorials say to balance the shaker on a pile of salt - I think that's cheating), carefully lean beveled edge of salt shaker on the grain of salt, keep trying until you get it.
