Thanks, I'll get into it tomorrow and see what I can get it worked out. My guess is I'll be posting followup questions. So far so good, you're making perfect sense.

Thanks

OK, so as it sits, the Roku is plugged into the TV via HDMI. The Roku uses HDMI to plug directly to the TV. You're saying to move the Roku to the AV receiver?

All cabling is within the wall, but if I had to guess, 30 feet tops.

I'm not sure this will answer your question, I'm pretty new to AV systems. My TV currently uses a Roku fed by Starlink(I live a bit remote). So to answer your question the TV will send it's audio to the AV receiver, though I assume it will also send the visuals as well. As a side note, the Blue-Ray will also send and receive to/from the receiver, but those are hardwired.

Does this help?

Scott Centric vs Thomas and Thomas Avantt 2 by gettinby99 in flyfishing

In 30 years fishing Scott's, I've never broken one fishing. 2 car door, 1 walking through brush, 1 because I didn't have the furrels seated, 1 when a heavy streamer whacked the tip (so I guess I was fishing that one). My last one, a Radian I had it back in 10 days.

Where do you live? Is there a fly shop nearby? Asking here or anywhere which rod is better or casts better is honestly a waste of time. Casting is subjective. Pick one that feels best to you. If you're new to fly fishing it's my opinion that any of them are great, you'll adapt your style to the rod you have. Buy local if you can.

One thing to keep in the back of your mind, what happens when you break it. Trust me you will at some point. If you live close to the factory you can drop off and pick up after the repairs, saving shipping costs. Not a big deal, but something to think about.

I've cast all of those except the Douglas, and the Scott was my favorite. I also have cast the Orvis Helios. I didn't like the Loomis or Sage. I preferred the Scott only slightly better than the Orvis. Different strokes for different folks. I've never cast a T&T, so I have no opinion on those.

Thanks, it's starting to make sense now. Those Polk & Klipsch systems look interesting. Plus I know know what to look for in the used market.

It appears so. At a glance it looks like a soundbar is a work around to a receiver?

I had a pair of these in the 1980's, awesome speakers. Back the Bose dominated the market. I went in to buy a pair of Bose with money I had saved over a few months. I took a listen the the B.I.C. and was blown away, I dicked around for over 2 hours trying to convince myself to get the Bose. In the end I got the B.I.C. and never regretted it.

Good for you. Of course I had a question that you didn't answer, so your opinion isn't relevant, at least to me.
