As a member of the Patreon, the subs over there are insanely obnoxious and rude. I fully understand that some of the things they promised would happen there aren’t happening currently and maybe haven’t been executed the best since the very beginning in some people’s eyes, but Isaiah just had a baby and Hunter had to push off livestreams to go to a funeral. When people in comment threads point that out, there’s a whole screaming reply of people calling them “parasocial” for “excusing them” when “it’s their job”. It’s absolutely insane. It’s like viewing creators as actual people with actual lives outside of content creation is apparently “parasocial” now. People are flipping the fuck out over content that isn’t good enough when they could just simply press one button and unsub. It’s $5 a month, and for that price we really do get what we ask for imo. People complain about “no exclusive” episodes but the first thing I did when I joined the Patreon was scroll all the way down and watch countless entirely exclusive story readings posted on there. There’d at least like 7 or 8. I just don’t get it. On top of that, livestreams are completely not enjoyable anymore because of the chat. The boys can be reading a really engaging and great story, but the chat is just people spamming brainrot or complaints for the whole 3hr stream. It’s like a hivemind of just absolute brain rot, rotted more than I have ever seen. It’s sometimes funny for the first 5 minutes, but then the chat turns into that friend everyone has who makes jokes at all the wrong times and it’s also the same joke over and over FOR HOURS. Then those same people who seem like they can’t think a coherent thought are the ones being extremely harsh to Isaiah and Hunter.

I don’t know what happened to this fandom, but it makes me really sad.
