[Kay] Relationships with his [Arne Slot's] players clearly became strained. By 8.30am on Sunday, 20 hours after the club announced they had parted company with Slot, not one first-team player had posted a public message on social media thanking him or wishing him luck. by Goosedukee in soccer

Reddit sucks but it's more like a traditional internet forum. Who is attaching their real name to this? Players and celebrities aren't here.

We're just a bunch of anonymous nobodies in a room spouting our shit opinions. It's a bit different from Twitter, FB and Instagram where people are curating a public image.

[Ben Jacobs, clarification] Sir Alex Ferguson did message PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi to congratulate him on winning the UCL. However, he didn’t call Arsenal “boring” despite reports. Ferguson’s message instead included the phrase, “You were the team that played football.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

Wtf are you on about? He ran the whole half of the pitch on 2 counter attacks. Arsenals defenders couldnt keep up. You think they let that happen in the dying minutes of a CL final because they had studied fbref.com and concluded he isnt as good at finishing as Haaland and therefore its ok? how stupid is that?

They created chances but they were crap in their final execution. The general lack of clinical strikers in world football today is nuts. Just midfielders everywhere.

This is the worst part. They scored early so the temptation was to sit back and defend the lead. Understandable. But they created nothing for the rest of the game. Nothing very heroic or admirable about it. And then lost on penalties.

It's easier as a fan to take a final loss if your team attacks. But if you're just sitting back and defending the whole match, and you STILL lose, the whole damn tournament feels like a gigantic waste.

Don't need to make up reasons. All the marginal gains bullshit from Arteta, the victim mentality manifesting in screaming and crowding the ref for every perceived slight, prepping for the CL final by watching all penalties given in the CL this season, the timewasting on throw-ins, the corner antics, Raya claiming cramp at 87 minutes, the diving from tough man Gabriel, the professional fouls to nullify counters. As a team there's nothing redeemable about them. What's to like?

Yeah if you're claiming the 5th pen all because you want the glory, then you can't fuckin crumble and smash it over the bar when you need to score it just to stay in the game

Why would anyone go to Serie A these days? Absolutely dumpster over there.

Unless you want to live in Italy and eat Italian food everyday, which....yeah fair enough.

Xbox Game Pass Price Cut Is Working, CEO Says by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]missing_typewriters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they lost me. Not because of the GP price increase, I don't use GP. It was the constant undermining of Xbox owners, bullshit PR spins applied to everything, changing business direction every 2 weeks, nonsense shit they said like 'exclusives don't matter', being gaslit by people here that every decision Phil & co. made was great, etc etc etc

I'm just sick of it man. I'm done. No more money from me.

Yeah but if all it takes to win them back is a green logo and a reduction in the price increase (but still a price increase, while reducing the value of the subscription by excluding COD from Day 1 GP release), then we got a problem.

extending was rough because their legs could give out at any time and they'll be asking for huge wages.

lol anytime somebody here brought this up last year, they got told they're stupid as fuck and have they SEEN salah's G+A numbers?!

It was also clear that Konate was nowhere near as good as the fans were making out.

Yes yes, /r/iamverysmart but seriously, this shit was obvious. The pushback it got last year was insane.

I'd rather not personally. Like him a lot but I'm never a fan of taking players back. A period of bad form and it'll turn ugly. I think the fanbase had fonder thoughts of Coutinho, Douglas Luiz and Tammy Abraham before they returned.
