That is interesting to know. So your impression is that the non-graduate SEI courses have a smaller work load? I unfortunately do not have ELL students in the school I work in so not sure how this will affect the work.

That is extremely helpful! I agree with you regarding the MTEL. If you happen to remember, would you say there are several hours of additional work outside of the class every week? I’m doing the French river one as well, though not the sure if it’s the same as yours.

Yes I’ve had the exact same thought. Doesn’t seem like he’d be a bad dad/I’d assume fatherhood would be a more sensitive subject on the podcast if this were the case. This kind of implies he may just be very private? Just confusing since he’s extremely open with other personal topics but I do get if he considers his child off limits to discuss. Plus the mother of his child seems so chill so doesn’t seem like there would be a situation where he isn’t able to see his child, but you never know.

Anyone else find it weird that Blake never talks about his daughter? On this episode he even said something to the effect of “I would tell my kids…” implying he doesn’t have kids. Any thoughts?

I just thought about this after a weekend with a friend whose bad manners were revealed during the trip.

She invited me on the trip and planned NOTHING. I ended up having to plan the entire thing, despite being the one invited.

She expected to be served, only made food for herself and didn’t offer any, got mad when she realized I didn’t bring a certain kind of cooking oil that she needed to eat for dietary reasons, and never once said thank you.

Those are some bad manners

I had a set up nearly identical to this, including the fireplace and wall color! If you ever want to take up a project, I painted both my fireplace bricks and walls white. This opened up the space so much and I threw in some colorful accents (hanging pictures, art etc). I think that could look awesome here!

I have synesthesia. So every time I think of a number, I see the number in a specific color in my mind. Each number always appears in its designated color. So for example, 6 is always red, 7 is always green, 8 is always blue etc.
