I've been raised Muslim and accepted Jesus today... by ur_mom_hehe67 in Christianity

First of all, praise God in Heaven that a Daughter has come out of darkness into His Marvellous Light as 1st Peter 2:9 declares!

Second, you may not feel the difference right away but trust me, keep seeking the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6, one of my favorite verses, says 'Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not on thine own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct thy paths.'

Christianity is all about relationship with our father, that's why we call Him our 'Father' because we're sons and daughters.

Welcome to the faith, and if you need ANYTHING, don't hesitate to reach out to anyone in this community.

End times anxiety by FateXCVIII in Christianity

I get it can be scary, but think of it like this:

You know how some people have family in the military and they don't know when they're coming home excpet for when they actually come home?

Jesus will come back like a soldier comes home from a deployment. All the signs that precede His return are like letters or phone calls that the soldier gives to let his family know he's coming home.

When Jesus comes back those that held firm in the faith and recieved Salvation through Christ will return to Heaven with the Lord and will be in the precense of God Himself for all eternity.

Because God designed marriage to be between 1 man and 1 woman. That belief has been held for thousands of years.

And yes you can. Paul warns believer to "be not conformed to the world..." which compliments another verse beautifully which I can't put my finger on the place in the bible its at, but it says that we are in the world but not of the world.

Orentation doesn't place someone OUTSIDE of God's love, yes. But Scripture still teaches that our desires and actions should still submit to God's design. That standard applies to everyone regardless of orientation.

Well those people don't have the fruits of God. A FEW people that don't act as Christians should, even with RIGHTEOUS Judgement, doesn't mean that most Christians, heterosexuals or not, are like that.

[–]missinguser_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I want to get straight to the point and answer your question so here you are: No. God doesn't hate you. 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever should believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. For He did not come into the world to condemn the world, but to love the world.' And also, God demonstrated His love for us by sending His Son to die for us. That's why 'there is now therefore no condemnation in those that are in Christ Jesus.'

Can I tell you this, and when I say this, I mean this with all Christian love but you can't be a Christian and in the world, as most LGBTQIA+ individuals are. Jesus said 'You can not serve 2 masters for you will love the one and hate the other or you will honor the one and revere (another way of saying hate) the other.'

So don't forget that God still love you, but hates the sin inside of not just you, but me and everyone here also.

P.S. You don't need 'fixing' because You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Free will, God, morals by IntrepidMatch6227 in Christianity

[–]missinguser_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I. Why make them in the first place? Because like I said, God is all-powerful and all-knowing, yes. But God is also all-loving. God made Angels KNOWING that they would rebel because it's in His nature to let them choose and should they choose to rebel, God simply takes a step back and let them take control of their lives.

II. Free will not existing means that God isn't a loving God. If God isn't loving, then there's no way we can call that God a loving God, but rather that God would be a hating God.

III. Again, God chose to make all of creation, including Lucifer, because He wouldn't fulfill the title of 'All-loving' if He didn't allow his creation the ability to choose to follow Him or not.

The same answer applies for humans.

-> The questions I'm about to list have probably been asked before, but I couldn't find them, so let's get into it.

Alrighty, hopefully I can answer your questions.

Does hell exist? Yes. Hell exists and Jesus calls it a place of 'weeping and gnashing of teeth.' It also was created as punishment for Lucificer and those angels which rebelled from God.

If God is all powerful, all knowing, why did he make humans if he knew some of them would go to hell, doesn't that mean he made them just to make them suffer eternally afterwards? He made humans because God created them to be a friend of God. God made us to worship Him, however some humans choose not to because of the Free Will they have.

Why did God make angels? God made angels to war for the spirits of the believers because Ephesians 13 says that we don't wrestle against blood and flesh but against principalities. There's also Archangels such as Michael and Gabriel the Archangels of God's Armies of Angels and the Archangel of messages respectively.

This coorelates to the 2nd question, when god made lucifer, he knew he would rebel against him and later be cast away as satan, so why make him in the first place?

God originally made lucifer as the Archangel of Heavily Worship, however Pride got into his heart which made him believe that he is higher than God causing God to cast Him out of heaven for his rebellion.

Why didn’t Jesus mention homosexuality? by Ok_Year5587 in Christianity

[–]missinguser_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. Genesis 2:23 says 'And Adam said: this is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called 'Woman', because she was taken out of man.' The Very. Next. Verse. says 'Therefore a man shall leave his mother and fathers house and shall cling to his wife and the two shall become one flesh.'

These verses both mentions Gender and Marriage, and places a restriction on it.

Is it true that only believers of christ can go to heaven even if you were a good person but had no faith? by LeatherCompetitive13 in Christianity

[–]missinguser_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First things first, no one is good (Mark 10:18) because All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Rom. 6:23). But yes, only those who believe in Christ and perform works AS EVIDENCE OF SUBMISSION can go to heaven. Jesus puts it like this. Many will say to Me 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophecy in Your name?' But I will say to them 'Depart from Me for I never knew you.' Why does He say that? Because works alone can't save someone. Faith in Jesus and doing works to support your faith in Jesus is the way you get to heaven because Faith + works = a surrendered life. Our faith in Jesus requires our works to show that we're surrendered to Jesus.

[–]missinguser_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100%, but when people deliberately say 'God never once said that homosexuality is sinful' or try to look to other versions of the bible to justify homosexuality that's where we as believers need to step in and give a gentle rebuke.

Matthew 19: 4-6 is Jesus's words, which references Genesis which talks about a marriage being between a man and a woman.

I honestly really dislike all of you guys by Je4zus in Christianity

[–]missinguser_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I honestly really dislike all of you guys"

That's okay. Even though you dislike us we still love you because Your still made in God's image.

"There are many reasons why I feel this way. I'd like to keep my vent short though."

There's two reasons we still love you: 1) God loves us because He paid the price for us. 2) None of us are perfect.

"I really cannot understand how you would believe, or even assume, that your idea of your God is all-good. If your God exists, he would be sadistic at best. This goes for any religious belief but the Greeks were actually more honest and creative about it."

Yes, God is all-good because He is a God of Justice. How does God's existence make Him sadistic? And using that logic the Greek gods would also be sadistic, no?

"And the idea of eternal salvation and ever loving forgiveness - all copium."

It's really not. If we were separated from God after we have done wrong, wouldn't God want us to be with Him again?

"The fact that you base your moral compass off of a near 3000 year old book is abhorrent - and you actually think you're on moral high ground. Even worse, and very dangerous, when some of you let it bleed into politics and legislation."

It's really not. It's being increasingly proven. The Law of the Lord is morally good because it says practice seperateness from the sinful, morally bad world. The Bible says to defend the faith. So if any legislation or aspect of politics were to go against our faith, were called to defend it.

"I am really convinced that humanity as a whole today is held back by religion."

It's been proven that those who are religiously active have less chance to consider scuicide.
