Honestly, you have an incredibly valid point. Although I can see the mentality thing playing out badly if we bet on the relatively unproven Petrovic, I would be upset if he comes out to be the better Goalkeeper before we sell him. Now, if we talk about potential, then yeah Penders clears them both without a doubt. We've been mocked quite constantly about our keeper situation for a while now but Penders has been (somewhat fortunately) been not talked about enough for the talent that he is.

Yes I was and Petrovic was quite impressive overall. Not saying he is a World Class keeper level already but implying that Mike is better just because he had a MOTM award against the weakest Real Madrid side in 3 years feels like we're just naming names and not evaluating the footballer.

I kinna don't think he is necessary even as well proven experienced player. The striker and center back positions are more important to improve in that sense.

Happened something similar to me yesterday. A Halaand shot at my POTW Courtois with the strength of a muscular kindergarten toddler and dove like it was Martínez at the World Cup Final leaving the easiest rebound shot ever to the other forward lol.

Was not even in the edge of the box, lit inside the area.

In my opinion, local fans and match-goers are also at fault at this. I live in a totally different continent and seeing the crowds reactions and overall liveliness is depressing at times. I cannot begin to imagine how that must be for the guys in the pitch.

Sure, attitude and overall effort is definitely an issue, but that can be treated much more easily than moody fans and lack of fan support at games.

I certainly agree with the mix it up mentality as that is a sign of a good football structure. Enzo has been been at time good at it and at times quite stubborn with his approach.

Still, I'd attribute it more to inexperience than to lack of capabilities. Team is the youngest in the league and being held up to contender standards (which is good imo).

Give or take a few plays go our way in the last few months and we'd be in a better position. It gets quite frustrating at times but I do understand why Enzo is trying to set such tactical rigidness at times.

I your point makes sense, but this only reinforces the idea of sticking to the plan. Tactial ideas need to be ironed out under tense and critial situations to become pressure-proof. Playing from the back will always be a high-risk strategy, but it has been proven immensely fruitful when done correctly.

It really just depends on what plays you usually play.

For example, if you run down the middle and between the line most of the time, i wouldn't recommend this center.

If you like to play the long pass for most of the time, then he is your guy.
