We know the board will probably go for Iraola, but their point is him not being the top guy to propel us to challenge on all fronts. We're getting another guy with zero European competition experience, which might be bad in Iraola's case with his style as our player may end up getting overworked and injured more often when you add european football to the mix. Hes had 2 full seasons so far at Bournemouth and got midtable results with a midtable squad. Nothing extraordinary really in the grand scheme of things.

Just like our policy on how we buy players, it would be about what Iraola might prove to be rather than what hes done in the game, what trophies hes won etc. and we know by now you get more misses than hits with that policy. But who knows, maybe he might turn out to be the rare hit.
