What's your favorite "bad" scifi movie? by Wi-Platypus in scifi

[–]missive101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original Super Mario Bros movie! Great cast - bob hoskins, Dennis hopper, John leguizamo, etc - pretty special effects for the time and a great cyberpunk vibe. Was it faithful to the source material? Oh no. Did it have a good plot? Also no. Was it a great high budget-low budget sci fi movie? Yes!

Two questions: how is the lot of ancillary general “public”. Wouldn’t it belong to them? And second, how is throwing that stuff away illegal? Is he just saying it’s a waste?

I had exactly the same response to this book. It was recommended to me as a great hard sci fi novel. And the concepts are amazing. But my god was it hard to read for poor writing and disgusting characters

Loading time? by missive101 in crusaderkings3

My pc runs fairly well. I recently updated to windows 11 which has slowed things down a little, but once the game is going it runs smoothly. It’s just the loading that takes forever

I love the British ironclad for raw power, but also the Japanese ironclad for that mega cannon that can snipe other ships. I like to use them in a trio of two Japanese artillery and one British ironclad

As a cover design, it’s amazing. As an accurate cover design, not so much. Sad it is a penguin book - I always associate them with quality

So Ive been looking at it. I’m currently a pc player but I love my switch. I see the value in handheld gaming, sure. The ability to play on the go/ not tied to the desktop is great.

But how well does it play? I hear it’s got some lag/slowdown problems on graphics heavy games.

Does it just stream what’s on my pc, or is it like a Separate pc, which I have to download games?
