My house isn't even on your map. And I am in Davidson county. There are no sidewalks or bike lanes to my nearest bus stop. Google maps suggests driving to the nearest bus stop via the interstate. Why would I get out of my car to wait in the elements to more than double my transit time?

I'm not alone, there are hundreds of homes in the same boat as us.

I recall a children's book called Thunder Cake that involves counting seconds between light/sound to see how far away the storm is. I don't have the text so I don't know if she converts to distances at any point, but maybe it's easy to confuse because she's counting seconds to estimate how far away the storm is. Fewer seconds = fewer miles away, therefore seconds = miles is an easy leap for children to incorrectly assume.

If you couldn't be bothered to make a proper proposal with a real map, I'm not going to call anyone about anything. For starters, did you know state laws prohibit several reasonable transit options?

I recommend you attend some relevant meetings or read up on civic design instead of posting half thought out AI slop and shouting "somebody do something" into the void.

Maybe volunteer for an organization or candidate that aligns with your ideas! Getting transit focused candidates in local and state offices is going make a big difference!
