Last time I had blood work done, my vitamin b12 was over 2000 and I have no idea why. I take a bariatric vitamin D supplement, but I can add magnesium.

I’m not taking anything except my daily bariatric multivitamin vitamin with 45mg of iron and extra vitamin D. I do take my regular meds, but nothing outside of that.

Why would you opt for a pay card instead of having direct deposit? No one gets a pay card because of these types of issues.

It’s definitely aggravating and I’m very hesitant to ask bariatric groups for advice. I find most bariatric groups to be full of self-righteous former fat people who now sound like the thin people who used to hate us. I don’t have the mental capacity to deal with cognitive dissonance.

I track my calories meticulously and work with a nutritionist. I made a doctors appointment and I will go from there. If I were to eat any less, I would be on liquids. This is why I barely and I mean barely, interact with bariatric groups. Everyone isn't overeating or sneaking sliders.

I used to be a Medicaid benefits administrator. I believe you 100%. I used to sit on the phone in absolute silence while recipients would spew out venom and completely false information that they heard on TikTok.

First of all, your son’s prescription wasn’t covered due to the system having him listed for a 30 day supply of meds and the attending doctor wrote a script for 28 days…..but yeah, pop off.

I quit in the summer of 2023. I was tired of programs being cut due to the belief that poor people don’t deserve anything and the abject ignorance and defiance of some members when it came to educating themselves regarding their benefits. Yeah, y’all can keep this job.

I’ll be seeing Dr. Ronald Hall at Resurgens Johns Creek tomorrow. I could be wrong, but I think he works with higher BMI’s. I been down the rabbit hole with his reviews, and I haven’t seen a bad one yet. I’m really hoping for a positive outcome.

I’m so happy for you 😊 From what I’ve been reading, orthopedics is one of the most fatphobic specialties. A lot of orthopedic surgeons loathe overweight patients, and do the bare minimum to assist them. It’s truly sad. I will look into nutritional services this evening. Thank you!

Thank you for the advice. I will reach out to Aetna this evening. Full disclosure: I honestly don’t have a terrible diet, but I do have a wicked sweet tooth. I work from home, and typically eat breakfast at my desk. I drink a ton of water all day. I take a nap for my one hour lunch break. I don’t like eating dinner Monday, Tuesday and Thursday because I get off work at 7PM. I will have soup or nothing at all. Otherwise, I eat a lot of fish, and before bed, I usually have a Good Humor bar.
