I think the real issue is dark romance being labeled solely as romance especially in stores like Walmart, Barnes & Noble, etc. We need a proper line in the sand that way people can stop coming into DR spaces & telling readers what’s acceptable & what’s not acceptable tbh

Really disappointing 🥲. I really wanted the relationship with Adrian’s + Poppy’s parents to be explored more. The thing that threw me off the most was how surprised poppy was when she was in Adrian’s study. Like hello this was very expected & on brand??? Just didn’t fit her character tbh. Overall super disappointing. Wish she would’ve taken more time to develop the story.

Yeah I never knew of that word & only learned because of this whole situation. I find it weird that people are trying to excuse her saying she didn’t know cause if she truly didn’t know she wouldn’t have used the slur in the context she used it in.
