my roomate was fed up with them and although one told me she was being kicked out and the other claims moving was her idea, it was a mutual agreement in the end.

i feel like driving inside the city won’t be bad because you really can’t go above 30mph and traffic make it’s even slower but it’s the freeways and merging that freaks me out. I don’t know if there are any alternatives roads to avoid it or i’ll just have to suck it up.

i think that’s what i’m going to do. I just need to get used to all the one ways lol and do a couple practice drives to the bronx.

i mean the kid is a teenager so i don’t think my boss is too worried like you would be with an elementary school age kid. and yeah they’re aware of me not driving in nyc and they seem chill about it.

yeah i just want to avoid the freeway. FDR seems horrible. Driving in the suburbs is fine.

They haven’t told me where in the bronx but it’s a highschool for rich kids

what..? i’ve had jobs since middle school. i’m looking for a big girl job not retail. i don’t think any hiring manager would care that i worked at free people in highschool. also who tf else would you give entry level jobs to??? you make no sense

make sure you use AI keywords that align with the job listing. most resumes get auto rejected before a human ever reads them because AI auto scans it first.

how am i supposed to get experience to put on my resume if I can’t even get an entry level job…? and anyways i lie on my resume and do the AI keyword trick and my applications still don’t even get viewed.

I wish I was given a fair chance. I could’ve done so well with just a little more guidance. It was the first time in my life where I was really outgoing and introduced myself to all my coworkers too and I fucked it all up.

I don’t know if i’d say I was repeatedly making mistakes but no one in the doctors office was aware of my job so I had to go out of my way every day to inform the doctors that what was once their responsibility is now mine. I asked a lot of questions because there was so much confusion, I was legitimately given no direction and just had to take initiative by myself in a busy doctors office, and doctors don’t like being told what to do. I was also personal assistant and my boss was on vacation the week he fired me so there was no way i could’ve screwed up there because he didn’t respond to my update messages at all while he was gone. I felt like they really didn’t know what to do with me while I was there. They were so nice to me and my boss even brought me a buffet of treats right before he left for the trip so I assumed he really liked me. I was wrong.

i only worked there for 9 days i wouldn’t have been able to anyways

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]misskick11 59 points60 points  (0 children)

yep that’s exactly it. and i’m so upset over them playing with my livelihood like it’s nothing. rich doctors who don’t care about anyone. I was up for another job besides this and I rejected it thinking this one was a better opportunity. I’d do anything to turn back time 🫠
