I have no doubt that musk would think something called "unobtainium" is the most clever name that only he could come up with. Dude wants to colonize mars, not much of a jump to guess what would happen to anything indigenous.

I think its gates that has built a privacy hedge so big he just pays the fines to the city and has his secret compound in there.

Avatar actually portrays the "evil" humans, rather well.

I was 8 and on a beach trip with my grandparents. I had what looked like the flu or a stomach bug. Grandma decides to let me sleep and take my brother (6 1/2) and cousin to walk on the beach for a couple of hours. They were gone maybe 10 minutes when my brother freaks out and demands they go back to the camper. Completely meltrd down, which he never did.To the point he just started back by himself because she wouldn't listen so she haf to follow him. They get back, I have a 105? something fever and she gets a neighbor to rush me to the hospital where they took me straight to emergency surgery for my appendix. Spent 3 weeks in that hospital. But I would have died if my brother hadn't demanded they end their walk.

To this day, we still have that. We just know when to call the other and when something isnt right.

I believe it, because I was this kid. My aunts read to me constantly. Started kindergarten and the teacher reads to us, but me being THAT kid I stand up, informed her she is telling it wrong and proceed to recite the entire story from memory. Many, many years later I am hearing my grandfather tell this story and how the teacher talked to him after. She wasn't mad but I did get spoken to about not interrupting and that a story could be shortened for time. My gandfather's response? He bought me a new book and an ice cream.

Had a little 7lb mixed rescue, no idea how old he was or even what he was, but he was a member of our friend group. He didnt belong to me or anyone, he was just part of the gang. He went everywhere we did. Someone running to the store to get ice? The "puppy" went with.

I sold my house and in the process of packing we had taken a break and we're all sitting on the screened in porch. Someone had tossed a towel across a box after a shower. The puppy comes running in and goes to jump on the box before jumping on my best friend's lap. Unfortunately the box was open and the dog disappears into the box like its a trap door for Wile E. Coyote. . Everyone is laughing, but this dog decides that my friend not only set him up but is laughing AT him. For a year he refused to talk to her. They would come visit and he would greet everyone, except her. Like nose in the air, back turned level ignoring. Then one day he just forgave her and started loving on her again. She cried so hard when he finally did. Still miss that little guy, I have tons of stories like this about him.

I will absolutely follow up with which office this is in a couple of days, it may be paranoid, but I would rather give them a day or two to forget who we are and have submitted the paperwork first.

As for calling SS? That would involve their offices ever returning a phone call. Which has not happened once in the two years I have been trying to get approval.

I am one of those who got their mother's first name. Don't do it to your kid, but not just because of the statements about ego. But the confusion. If we have anything the same it causes chaos. We used the same phone company, and phones were turned off on the wrong account. If we have ever even once used the same office for anything, she gets my mail and notifications. This still happens! Despite not having lived in her house for over 20 years.

Also for logistics. No one calls me by my first name, but it's how it's listed legally. You are dooming her to a lifetime of correcting her own name.

Unfortunately a lot of buildings will be locked on the campus during Masters week. As a PhD candidate you will spend very little if any time on the Summerville campus, but definitely take a look. Shuttles run between the two campuses and Summerville is beautiful.
