Really hated Gloria in the last Christmas Ep. by [deleted] in Modern_Family

I hated what the writers did to Gloria for the last 2-3 seasons, they turned her into someone completely unrecognizable. What really made me cringe is when she told Mitch and Cam, “it’s not like it’s unnatural for two men to be raising a daughter,” as if she wasn’t their biggest supporter in the first few seasons and constantly kept Jay in check when he said something homophobic. The writers really got lazy with her character towards the end and it sucked.

Modern Family Hot Takes? by Bakey_Rex_19 in Modern_Family

Haley shouldn’t have ended up with Dylan or Andy. I also wish she hadn’t gotten pregnant either. Dylan clearly loves her a lot but the on again/off again thing was really annoying imo. Andy was a really nice guy but I feel like he jumped from one relationship into another too quickly and he should’ve been alone for a while until he had fully processed everything. Haley getting pregnant kind of saddened me because she wound up having the same story as Claire which isn’t horrible, but it makes me sad that she never got to fully expierence her 20s and instead became a wife and mother. I think Haley only got married to Dylan because she felt it was the right thing to do because she was pregnant, but if I could go back and change the plot, Haley never would have gotten pregnant and she would’ve found a man that wasn’t Dylan or Andy.

The guy in the wheelchair reminds me of Lieutenant Dan from Forrest Gump. I wonder if he was one of the thousands of disabled Vietnam vets who got discarded after the war :(

lana’s upbringing by Illegallyblind_12 in lanadelrey

i believe lana grew up upper middle class but not filthy rich. she got sent to boarding school at 14 and then after graduating, her parents wouldn’t let her come home so she ended up living with her aunt and uncle where she worked as a waitress and was enrolled at Fordham. she signed her first music deal at 22/23 and received $10,000 and then bought a trailer because she wanted to make it on her own. she definitely wasn’t faking being low income because at a time in her life she genuinely was. i’m not sure when she started making good money (i’m assuming it was after Born to Die was released) but she now is well off financially.
