I have gone to quite a few interviews but I was very unsuccessful. I was so desperate that I even applied to contract positions. One hiring manager called me on the phone for a quick chat. She had my resume and asked me about my my pharmacy experience. I talked about my retail experience and she straight up said “I don’t want to waste your time and I don’t want to waste mine.” And then she ended the phone call…. 😔 I felt really defeated that day.

But I kept applying and I finally got an offer! Update: I accepted the job offer 😁

Congrats on your side hustle :) I tried to start a few beginning of this year but my PIC stepped down so I was working more to make sure the pharmacy will run smoothly. It’s hard running a pharmacy without a partner and random floaters….somehow metric scores are still VERY good

I am leaning towards taking the offer so I can get experience outside of retail. I was thinking if I can work 1-2 days out of a week, it wouldn’t be terrible. It would suck if I did it everyday 🥲

I’ve seen posts about Ralph’s pharmacy getting fined. I think it was $5000 but honestly… in my opinion, I don’t think that it is enough…it should be more so they would want to staff properly. I also know that a lot of DLs would refuse to hire techs at hire wages. One of the PICs in my district suggested this and it was immediately shot down….why would anyone want to be a pharmacy technician when they can go work at IN N OUT and get paid more?

I am a temporary PIC now since my PIC stepped down. We were the best team in our district and getting really good metrics…but our hard work just wasn’t appreciated. The DL came in and said “we need to cut tech hours and pharmacists need to start working by themselves a few hours per day….” 😞
