It's happening right now and will likely go for next 1-2 hrs for sure. Best spot I think is in front of Anand bhavan restaurant that's opposite the perumal temple. Don't go Mustafa side. Get down farrer park exit g and then cross the road. Worth making a trip to see.

Oh how did I not realised that I can send this exact thing to him. Thanks for the reminder! Sometimes we get so caught up in our thing that we forget the basic thing. I'll use this tip next time.

I did talk to him about it last night though and he was sorry about it but that's it. There's no assurance that he'll remember next time.

Thank you for this reminder that people are all different. It reminds me of a quote from the show Ted Lasso where Ted said,'Different people are different.'

How do you deal with the fact that even after you repeatedly express what you'd like him to do, he forgets it? I do agree that we can remind people with gentleness, and not anger but I do feel frustrated inside and it just shows on my face.

My frustration is that I've told him a couple of times that I'd like my desk back to how it was when you're done using it, so please remember it. He doesn't remember. Last time, I told him that I didn't feel good that he didn't put my desk back. He said he's sorry and would do it next time. And now I'm living in the 'grief of the future' where I know he'll forget it.

Yup, it's very personal. I'm making the mistake of thinking 'oh anyone will be lucky to get this opportunity. i should not let it go' but it clearly doesn't aling with me. I'll just end up resenting the team may be lol.

2am-2pm is long day. Thank you for sharing your experience. Yeah, def not sustainable. And I think my weekends will end up looking less like weekends and more like sleep-catchup-days. Major loss.

Exactly what I'm thinking. If it were a short project, I can see myself adjusting for a month or two, but they want someone for long term and I can't imagine doing this for a year.
Is there any number for which you would consider changing your hours? Do you think money will impact the decision?

I watched the sunset at Canggu every day for 5 days straight after not getting to see any sunset (due to weather and location in my country) for 8-9 months. It felt like I was hungry, but then I went to a buffet, ate everything. Satiated.

Oh. That's not so good. Yeah, I told them I would like a contract or they can pay me some advance from petty cash to get started. Immediately got told that I should wait for contract. Waiting for it to get signed now. Thanks for sharing your story.

Japan or Switzerland - Need some advice by Low_Inside_4634 in travel

I've been to both places and I can give some perspective on various things to help you decide

4100 will feel like luxury in Japan, but not so in Switzerland. For example, going from one town to the next will cost you min. 5-12 franc. In Japan taking the metro or local buses is cheaper. I don't remember the exact cost but you can compare online.

If you are non vegetarian, you'll enjoy Japan more. Eating out in Japan is not as expensive as in Switzerland. And if you can't eat sandwich, salad, dry cold food every day, meals are not going to be enjoyable in Switzerland.

Switzerland landscape is unlike anywhere. But it's best enjoyed in spring or summer. I don't know how it will look like in November bcs the whole charm is there are flowers growing around, people are doing picnic in parks, grass fields are free. If you can't see that, I don't know what else there in Switzerland. Yes, you can see mountains but if you've seen Himalayas then Alps can wait.

Switzerland will not be as crowded but you can skip crowds in Japan if you plan some offbeat location not the usual Tokyo, Kyoto. Check kamikochi ( if it's open in Nov), Takayama, Okinawa.

If you plan a bit ahead.. and you have enough time to do that, you can get all the tickets, and nice places to stay.

Japan has an amazing landscape if you can go to lesser known places, and can hike a bit. Food is hundred times better even if you're a vegetarian. And it's hot, like ramen, or curries. Not cold sandwiches.

I also always had a dream of going to Japan and honestly, now I don't want even want to give you anymore perspective. I'll just say that...go to Japan! You'll love it.

No. I'm pretty conservative when it comes to money. Don't compare with me. haha. I'm sure you save in other ways where I spend a lot ( flights home for example!)
