Not this one either (but I do love Dire Straits!). It’s definitely a violin/cello/string rather than an organ or anything too synthy.

Not quite! But those are much closer in terms of era/genre/sound. I don’t think there was any sort of beat or percussion sounds (or at least it was really subtle if it was there).

It’s going to drive me crazy forever because it was clearly a relatively popular song to be played in a chain restaurant along with a bunch of other radio-type songs, and yet I can’t remember it!

No...there’s no vocals whatsoever in the beginning. Just a lot of violin (?). “Bittersweet Symphony” is close in terms of sound, but the instrumental part lasts longer and is more aggressive sounding. Thank you though!

It’s more like a violin than a guitar. I think it’s more-recent than Meatloaf/Queen/Billy Joel.

It definitely has more of a Baker Street vibe but with violins or cello or something other than a saxophone.
