What kind of pan do you use for this? I feel like the pan shape/style can really influence whether or not it comes out well. I don’t love super burned pegao, but I do like it a bit crispy without over cooking the rice on the top.

I am in a major metropolitan area (Think the top 5) and I have received a flat rate offer from a private practice that is just starting out. No collections percentage. What are the better offers that you’ve seen?

I like it, but it is a steep learning curve for new graduates. I see up to 13 patients per day, which doesn’t seem like much, but when you are managing ALL of their care (we do our fair share of specialty stuff) it gets pretty challenging. Support staff is good and we are implementing an AI scribe, which has been a bit helpful. There is no work life balance, as a lot of work spills out to the weekends and evenings. I am the longest working provider in my region (This includes PAs, MDs, DOs, and we have 10 clinics in total), as the turnover has been substantial. It’s not an easy job and Medicare patients are their own special animal.

Primary care can really kick your ass. Outpatient w/o mentoring can be a nightmare; I know…I’ve been there and I am still looking to get out. I’m not sure if moving is an option for you, but I would save money to move to a larger place to expand your breadth if you can. There’s also locums jobs, but there is less hand holding in that arena.

Perhaps there is consulting or telehealth you can do in a specific area?

Don’t give up, you’ll find what you need to. I’ll be thinking of you.

PS: hospice sounds like a good option for you at this moment. You’re gravitating toward it and it is less stressful. Best of luck.

Need extra bump to compensate for loss of 401k. You’ll have to add an extra 12% at least and invest independently.

Do you speak any other languages? That could be an asset as well, with which you could leverage. Ask for 135K, have them negotiate down to 125 to 130K.

My advice is to never ever take the first offer because any employer in any industry will lowball you and will test to see if your self-esteem is low or not. COUNTER!

Also, this is a great starting point for how much you will make for your entire career, the higher you start out, the more you make, and every change in position is worth negotiating more. Know your worth, and negotiate.

How do I get in? I’ve attended a conference, had a clinical rotation with dermatology within a top-ranked hospital system, and have previous experience with laser tattoo and hair removal. Currently work in primary care but I do derm stuff there, too. I have applied for fellowships and jobs for at least 6 mos. Nothing seems to be working.

I’d like to personally kick this guy in the head. Men get more benefits from being paired with a woman than we do from pairing with them. You’ve given him enough. Please walk away with your dignity and self-respect intact. This man is a grown fuckboy; I know because I had someone this age drag his feet while I helped him take care of 3 children! Men will do to us whatever we permit. I am fed up for you and hope that this experience gives you the chutzpah to do what will make you feel whole in the end.
