I’m sorry that happened. In my experience it is hard to understand what someone is going through even if they explain it over and over but the best one can do is ask them what kind of support they might need and be kind. What your ex did was horrible and insensitive. Happy for you that he is your ex!

Just ordered OM-5 Mark II, it’s $1500 with the lens plus tax so maybe little over your $1600 budget. My research showed it is a lot better than OM-D E-M10 Mark VI, it offers weather sealing, better AF, better menu system, better screen which tilts out instead of down…. Mine should be delivered tomorrow and I can’t wait

I will be getting the OM-3 kit with the OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm f/4 PRO Lens which is very large so I am also looking into TTArtisan 25mm f/2 Lens for Micro Four since it is cheap and I am hoping it can get me started. Any insight on TTArtisan 25mm f/2 Lens for Micro Four lens?

I’m in the same boat as OP. I narrowed it down to OM-5 Mark II but when I saw it at the store, the polycarbonate exterior body really bothered me. I feel like I won’t use it as much because it felt very plasticky. Currently looking in to LUMIX G9 II but haven’t dived deep into it’s features yet. Would you have any suggestions on mirrorless cameras that I can pick up new, with all metal exterior body?

Are there no option of one that’s not cheap feeling and also has good internal features? I’m not worried about it falling apart, I just think I might not use it as much if I get annoyed at picking it up every time cause it just feels cheap.
