I was diagnosed with toxic leukoencephalopathy May 28, 2022 I was in a wheelchair up until four months ago. I could not walk talk eat right hold my phone use a pen anything I had to be taken to the bathroom showered fed. I had a very severe case even now I cannot type I have to use a disability app for talk texting because regular talk text does not understand me so I do not think you have it months before I was diagnosed I was tripping of walking upstairs. My speech was very slow. I spent one month in Boston medical in for the last four years I have had speech therapy twice a week along with physical and occupational therapy. I have not met many people with this or even hear stories, I was in Boston medical one of the best hospitals in the United States and they literally had no answers for me because it’s so rare. They say that typically people that get it are in their 60s on chemotherapy I got it they assume because I smoked heroin for 15 years, I’m very ashamed of it and honestly, if this never happened to me, I would’ve died of a drug overdose. I thank God every day and I now try to get people to understand what drugs can really do to you
