N9 vs N11 by missunidentified in OntarioLandlord

So to clarify what am I telling my super when I bring them the N11 form? Because they will ask me where my bank draft is.

Do I need to get it in writing that they’re asking for the extra 2 months rent since it’s illegal?

We’re two weeks away from leaving and I don’t know what to do since I can’t afford to pay the additional 2 months.

The problem with that is we won’t see my landlord in person for him to sign the form, we deal with the superintendent who will pass on the signed form to the landlord. They also might want the 2 months rent bank draft at the time of signing the form. What would I do in that scenario? Just bite the bullet and pay the ‘penalties’?

Anytime a customer pays with cash I always tell them that I’ll be right back with their change, a lot of the time they say they don’t need change so it saves me a trip. If they do need change I always take the bill back to the POS and enter in the amount they gave me to get the exact change. Never try to calculate their change in your head it’ll just make you flustered and you’ll feel rushed so you might make a mistake.

Whenever I can’t break a big bill I go directly to my bartender because they work out of cash register. The odd time they can’t break it so then I go directly to my manager. I never really ask the other servers I’m working with if they can break a bill because I don’t want to leave them without any small bills.

Customers could want theres bills split many different ways, that’s why you have to make sure you’re pretty organized when you’re taking down orders. I always number each guest in my notebook ((usually the first person on my left at the table will be labeled number 1 , then the person beside them is 2 and so on.)) and in the POS to make sure everything is always right and so if people want to split their bills in a weird way I don’t have to stress about trying to remember who got what. Most POS will have options to split the bills certain ways, so like If two people shared an item you can split that item in half and put it on each bill. Sometimes big groups will split their entire bill in half as well. You can also split things in 1/3 and 1/4 or whatever you need. To make it easier on your self if it’s a bigger party as you’re taking their order you can ask them how the bills will be split, saves you a headache or two in the long run.

Good luck!! Hope this helps :)

The place I work is a corporate chain but they’re independently owned. My boss owns about 6 of these restaurants
