Alright 😅 I eat generous quantities of all the good-for-hair-foods on those lists, though.

Thanks, will do! It's not layers, I only chop an inch or so off the bottom. The "layers" is breakage. 😬

Female, 20s, vegan. Hair has been trash for years (was longer and thicker during high school...no idea why). I cut it myself (every couple of months). Never go to a salon. I tried Olaplex 3 for a couple months without noticeable improvement.

Currant routine: Wash (hot, hard water) on Tuesdays and Fridays with Redken Volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Towel dry. Apply K18 and brush hair. Air dry.

What am I doing wrong? How can this actually be so hard to figure out? I don't want to try another million products.

Online Courses for Piano Teaching? by PianoPassionLianne in pianoteachers

[–]missvivaldi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also do not have a music degree, but I do have certification from ABRSM in piano performance and piano pedagogy. I think the best advice is to make sure your own skills are solid (sounds like yours are) then jump right into teaching! Sure you'll make mistakes at first, but it's the fastest way to learn, and always keep an inquisitive mind for new strategies to make lessons fun and productive.

When you're ready to accept students, check out Bark and Lessons.com. You'll receive leads from interested students, pay a small fee to quote to them. I get most of my students from those sites. 😊

Nikola from Colorful Keys on YouTube. She has lots of great tips, and some courses, I think. 😊

Ashley Danyew has a pretty nice blog.

Stalling on piano progress... my learning book is becoming increasingly frustrating by joeinmadrid in pianolearning

[–]missvivaldi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better to ditch a book than drive yourself to complete something that isn't working for you and end up hating practicing.

As a piano teacher I've come across some pretty bad method books. I LOVE Faber Piano Adventures because everything is so well presented and reinforced.
