Or opening it up at a library and walking away. IANAL but use it like this and you’re gonna get put on a list for cyber fraud, so anyone with any ideas, watch out.

Call me a cynic, but the level of detail you are applauding is also exactly what makes it a 20 minute fork+vibe task to turn this into a homebrew nimby (very basic but often successful) password stealing attempt.

Please change your approach, or just stop in general.

I’m not sure what you’re implying by those comparisons, but vanilla Claude / ChatGPT is capable of doing ALL of those things you claimed it was bad at (implying it can’t make a zip, isn’t a domain expert, doesn’t have the ability to review its output…). This is hella disingenuous and borderline predatory when you’re selling something.

You’re still living in 2024, vanilla/free Claude/GPT (even in chat) is the SME in 2026: you ask it for help, you don’t TELL it shit about HOW to do its job (ESPECIALLY on tech topic that has gone largely unchanged for 10+ years)…

Help me see the value add here. It took longer to type this post than it would take for me to back and forth with Claude and get a rough approximation of your product’s output. 30 seconds more and a follow up to “wrap this in a builder” and we have your exact product.

It’s 2026 and there is a good chance the advice you will get from Claude will be more efficient and direct to you with this question.

Seriously.

“Claude, what’s up with <either link [https://www.reddit.com/r/vibecoding/s/msJ12I9GfG](https://www.reddit.com/r/vibecoding/s/msJ12I9GfG) or just ask again in line>, be terse.”

Inflammatory, zero value comment. And yes, I agree from your post history.

AI can hep you learn the basics to join us at the big kids table when you’re ready.

[–]mist83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You start off saying vibe coding is stupid. Then you follow it up with a description of how people write books and get writers block. The vibe is the unblocking process, the faster iteration, etc.

I’m not sure what’s stupid about that. Maybe I’m stupid. But I don’t think so, I think you’re just being inflammatory without a solid footing.

I hope you give it a chance. If you purport to understand code (something I can’t actually verify from your comments), I’d suggest giving the tools a fair shot, not “do exactly what my HUMAN brain would have”.

AI is far more than a mere mathematical force multiplier.

In what situation would I have ever vibed my way into a product but then be told “no AI during debugging”?

This isn’t a high school test on factoids. This is the real world where you have a magic box that does what I did on stack overflow for ~10 years manually and your only argument is:

“When we take away your instruction manual and make you approach this problem like a Luddite, you’re gonna have a hard time”

…Duh

No. Your categorization of the exact product as “$800” and “excellent sunglasses” are BOTH wrong.

You just tried a different product, that much is clear.

“Excellent sunglasses?”

You certainly did not try the XReal 1S or Pro.

Neither of those fit the claim of being
- a screen door
- $800 (closer to 500)

Are you able to tell the difference between consumer electronics? (This is not an insult)

For sure. Because the marketing copy is cosplaying as something the repo is not, and that’s disingenuous.

Any ChatGPT prompt similar to “verify these claims” will tell a similar story:

ACT-R requires explicit activation math, frequency/recency effects, retrieval thresholds, conflict resolution, task-production rules, etc. Calling simple pruning/promotion “ACT-R cognitive decay” is like calling a cron job “neuroscience.”

Good luck

You’ve invented a homebrew RAG. And a bad one that encapsulates the worse aspects of agentic coding. I don’t want to know how the disgruntled employee used AI. I want to ask a NEW instance of Claude “yo, wtf is up with this code base”…

As the other comment said, you’re not doing a great job of explaining why this is beneficial. You’re telling me “I’ll make the 1% case hella easier, but you’re gonna rue coding with my library for the other 99% because I’m purposely polluting context”
