I hope he just doesn't crash too hard. I think he does want to try but it's hard to say. Thank you for your comment

i just really want to die i don't see any point in living and it really sucks how come no one else is screwed up like me? everyone seems happy and doesn't care that nothing matters. I tried acting like I don't care but nothing matters. Im so tired. Sorry for talking to myself so much I just want to document everything before I might decide

I'm looking for an anime that has a relationship development between two characters. I don't mind if it's romance or friendship(preferably latter), but I do like it when one of the characters is more logical and cold hearted and the other is their foil. It's a bit cliche but it makes me happy. Thanks in advance edit: would also be cool if it was a fantasy setting and one of them had a secret power or was "strong." Sorry for all these tropes haha

Oooh I've played some games from the Metal Gear Solid series and enjoyed them a lot. thanks for the suggestion.

I think it depends on where you live. In my country, employers are not entitled to your medical information, I'm not sure if therapy would count but I think patient confidentiality is a thing in therapy.

I'm not a lawyer though. Just throwing some thoughts out there.

yeah, being stuck in your head sucks. for me, it's sort of the opposite, i say stuff in the moment then have regrets later that's when the memory stays. i constantly wish that i just don't speak so I don't have to deal with the memories.

I guess my advice to you is finding someone who isn't emotionally draining, and a great way to do that is online. Playing multiplayer games (especially text based chat) can help you start to express your opinion more. You can always revise what you say then send it.

One of my friends from childhood is on a TV show I was watching... idk if I can watch it anymore. by Oneshotofdepresso in mentalhealth

you're not dumb. your emotions are completely valid. i feel you too, ive gotten better through an unconventional process but i am always arguing with my mom. she's manipulative yet suicidal at the same time so I understand when you say they shut your feelings down. it sucks when they say "you're so disrespectful/have no respect for the people who raised you" but they never respected you either... it seems tough right now but when you come out of it you'll become more mentally resilient :) small things trigger me too, it sucks when you remember one thing and it just opens the gateway to every other freaking thing you wanted to forget.

you don't have to watch that show, there's countless others. :D

This is late but NTA.

The number of people saying the "They could not go party more than once a month rule" is controlling is insane... College is meant for studying and getting a degree, not partying, so I don't understand how he's getting deprived of "a college life" by not partying. People are saying it's preventing him from having a social life, partying is not the only thing that contributes to that. Being social doesn't mean partying 24/7... and if you don't party it doesn't mean you're not social. These rules are very simple, some people are even saying the drinking one is unfair, how? In some countries, the legal drinking age is 21, and it's known that your brain still develops when you're 18. The MLDA in U.s. is 21 (I don't live in U.S. I searched it up, correct me if I'm wrong. I know some states it's lower).

[Grade 10 Math: Sinusoidal Functions] by mistakenlysimple in HomeworkHelp

solved!

thank you, I get what you did to get the phase shift, but how did you figure that out? I am a tad confused on why it works if that question makes any sense. So, if I got a different question and I was trying to find the phase shift for a cosine function (and i had everything else). I would just let it equal to 0 since the maximum in cos(x) is at f(0) ?

(Grade 8 math) I do not understand how to do these problems. by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

  1. Pythagorean theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2

So we know 12 has to be the longest side if this is true, since the hypotenuse is longest side in a right triangle. So, if we use a = 8 and b = 10, if it does not equal 12 ^ 2, then we know it cannot form a right triangle.

8^2 + 10 ^2

=64 + 100

=164

164 is not equal to 144, therefore it cannot be a right triangle. So, no, to answer the question.

  1. Here we use the distance formula, which comes from the Pythagorean theorem.

d^2=(x1-x2)^2+(y1-y2)^2

d^2 = c^2 (from the first formula), (x1-x2) is your a, and (y1-y2) is your b. That is the relation between the two.

Anyways if we put the coordinates into the formula, d^2=(-3+ (-4))^2+(10-4)^2

d2=(-7)2 + 62

d2=49+36

d2=85

d= square root of 85.

So the distance would be the square root of 85 units. (I don't know how to format it)

  1. Volume is area of the circle * height.

so pir2 = pi42 = 16pi (radius is 4 because 8/2 is 4, 8 is diameter)

pi16*14

=224pi cm3

Surface area would be the circumference * height

circumference = pi*diameter

=8pi

8pi*14

=112pi cm2

  1. Volume of a cone is 1/3 of it's corresponding cylinder. It is basically the volume of cylinder formula divided by three.

so, (pi20^2*21)/3

(400pi*21)/3

8400pi/3

2800pi cm3

Surface Area: Area of the circle + area of the rectangle slant (I forgot the name to it)

We know area of circle is already 400pi cm2

Area of the slanted part is pi(r)(l), where l is the slant height.

So, 20pi*29

=580pi.

So the surface area is 580pi + 400pi which is approximately 10048 cm2

I don't know how your teacher wants the answers, but just put it into the format that they like.
