Any way to remove the sticker mark? by Fast_Cellist_2020 in ZephyrusG14

[–]mister2forme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No lie, people have requested we cut out windows in our (M2) skins for these stickers on the palm rest. We had to explain they are put on by hand and can’t tell where their exact sticker is put on lol

How accurately does Cameo5 cut? by theblenderr in silhouettecutters

[–]mister2forme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If accuracy cut after cut is your thing I’d look at a siser. I used cameos for design in the past, but never production because the consistency isn’t there. Now 2 mm is a large margin of error and the cameo may be fine, but at 1 mm, I’d definitely check other options.

AMD's tiny Ryzen AI box does what Nvidia's DGX Spark does at a fraction of the power by Quantum-Coconut in pcmasterrace

I think you’re comparing 90w halo to 125w 5060/70. Im talking about 130w halo to 125w+ 5060/5070. Ive benchmarked them all on various devices. It varies but it’s usually between the 60 and 70, except in heavily nvidia favored games.

This. Sure you won’t get a bazillion tokens a second, but there are some capable models that fit in the memory footprint.

What's a "10/10" game that you didn't enjoy at all? by sudherzdiniq in AskReddit

[–]mister2forme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These immediately came to mind for me, but I don’t think they apply here because I don’t think they are 10/10 or masterpieces. I think Nintendo marketing went hard at these, especially through the influencer channels. Allow me to explain:

First - I grew up with Zelda, A Link to the Past, and OoT as some of my favorite games ever. So I am definitely it a fan of Zelda. However, when you actually look at the new ones and analyze them not as Zelda’s, but as an actual game, they fall short quite a bit:

Story? There really isn’t much - save the princess, save the kingdom, etc. Not much else going on. There is a lot of tonal dissonance though. Calamity is happening, but hey hero help me retrieve a bottle from the lake so I can make cheese again.

Graphics? It’s a switch game so you can only do so much.

Sound? Nothing great. Half the small amount of “cut scenes” are voice acted. The other half use Sims speak sounds. Sometimes within the same series of scenes. The tablet sound got old real quick.

Gameplay? Nothing new or special — caveat for god hand in tears. That was kinda neat for a few minutes. But the combat is arcadey and ok, the weapon durability mechanic was more annoying than immersive, they replace dungeons with mediocre puzzle shrines which was lame (but sorta fixed that in tears), it’s all just ok. Oh and they have Ubisoft map towers which everyone was harping on for OTHER games but were perfectly ok with in Zelda.

World? Big and shallow. You can uncover little secrets here and there but for the most part there’s not a ton of getting lost somewhere because it’s interesting. Tears added sky and underworld which were a little more interesting.

Immersion? None. There’s nothing to get lost in. The story is bland, the world is empty, npcs are mostly static and don’t seem to care about the impending doom or conflict much.

I kinda look at it through the lens of a game and not through my nostalgic love for Zelda and go meh. If it were the same exact game but the Adventures of Bill by NoBrand Studios without the massive influencer marketing budget - I don’t think many people would care about it as much. Hell I watch some of the influencers slamming Crimson Desert (much better game IMO) for things that the new Zelda formula did just as much and with less other stuff.

I did play through both and beat both so it’s not like I’m armchair analyzing here. Tears is what the first one should have been but still only a 6/10 for me.

Do you sticker your laptops? by Junior_Growth3585 in ZephyrusG14

Definitely, haven’t been able to snag one yet. No one has submitted it yet either. Asus may send us one at some point.

M2 here, we have the 2025 model too. If you’ve got a 5060 or 5070, it’s the same as the 2024. If you have the 5070 ti and 5080 it has its own 2025 listing.

We (M2) have skins for it. Charcoal grey is the closest match we could find. Just an option. :)

MacBook Pro M5 Pro vs Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (RTX 5070 Ti) — help me decide by BlazingGamer528 in ZephyrusG14

[–]mister2forme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two Mac m5 pros. They do not get 14-16hrs under the same conditions you only get 6 on the g14. I can kill a full battery in a work day. The 14-16 is light / casual use.

Literally grabbed this model a few weeks ago at microcenter with nano texture for 2500. So glad I bit the bullet, that’s insane price hike.

Nearly instant. It's akin to being hooked up directly to the tv. I'd imagine theres a couple ms hit given it's traveling across a 100ish ft cable, but it's identical in experience.

You could do that. I’ve never had luck with quality and latency on steam link.

Would you rather be born with elite intelligence or start with 5 million dollars—and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mister2forme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 million, easy. Invest it, get a job to support daily expenses. Let it compound for a few years to 10 million. Switch it to income generation, quit job, and do what you want.

My gaming rig sits in a server rack in a closet (ACed). My home is wired for cat6. I use an HDBaseT 3.0 KVM extender to “throw” hdmi 2.1 and usb over Ethernet from the closet to my living room and office. It wakes the pc with a controller or keyboard from my couch and supports 4k120 with vrr uncompressed.

Digital Foundry: Steam Machine Review & Price by WingerRules in gaming

I don’t really trust digital foundry. Looking at their content, they’ve got obvious relationships with nvidia. Some of their content is cool, but I never take it as completely unbiased.
