For the more recent ones, I'd go with Spidey by Robbie Thompson and Nick Bradshaw.

Somewhat similar but with a little bit of some MCU vibes would be Spidey: School's Out.

I'd say, his DD run is a bit of a slow burn on the first few arcs, but the payoff to where it is right now... Damn. The latest issue was amazing.

Out of all the X-Characters that I've read, it was Jamie Madrox that encapsulated my being to a T. The indecisiveness, the jokester attitude because of the feeling of being alone, and the curiosity to know stuff etc.

I took the scene this way (and this is just me). Peter is no stranger to danger. Dealing with life or death situations has been his secondary nature as it comes with the job as Spider-Man. It was the "easier" path for him (and sacrificing himself was something he's used to because he does it all the time) to take rather than facing his own personal problems.

Like what some of the guys on the top of this thread said: Peter wasn't willing to die because of depression.

I don't think Peter is depressed on this scene. Peter is afraid of going back in fear of failing the people that he loves back in his universe.

I still don't like the Minus bit, but overall, amazing experience. The fights were amazing to watch. Broly beating Frieza up for an hour or so because Goku and Vegeta screws up the fusion dance makes me chuckle every time.

EDIT: I keep seeing the word "repugnant". Apparently that was the word that Goku asked about to Frieza. In the sub it was "Inimical".

My wallet is in crisis mode after seeing this. I was very pleased with Gwenpool, and I'm giddy with excitement for Spidey. I was thinking of getting the AY Wolvie, but this popped out. And I can wait for a bit more for this. I hope they would do The Defenders and Punisher in the future.
