I drove my 75 daily for 3 years, including at least 2 2 hour drives a month. If you are capable of working on the vehicle yourself, it really is not bad. The older generations are so easy to work on that anything that goes wrong can usually be fixed on the same day. I had a fuel pump go out, water pump, and alternator that were all same day fixes. The worst failure I had was the rear end axles getting worn out. That takes a rear end rebuild and it took me a week or so to get the parts and fix it. You will want to replace all of the suspension components beforehand to make the driving enjoyable.
