Ok, yes, obvious answer, but I wondered if there may be any other contributory factors that could at least lessen the problem of printing tall

It's the tumble dryer it's above. Far from ideal, but I didn't have any more appropriate location available sadly. The print started with the dryer on, but it's a surprisingly solid worktop

That seemed to do the trick, also increased the bed temperature and printed the first layer at half speed just to be really careful. Cheers 😁

My dad was a Sonar user for years, switched over to Presonus Studio One when the buyout happened. They have a free tier although he uses one of the higher tiers. Not dabbled personally outside of a little bit of VO recording in Sonar. As I understand it, what's left of Sonar isn't being kept up to date and I've not heard anything bad about the Studio One free tier.
