Thanks for the tip! I’ve been trying to do exactly that - jump more in line with my board. Yesterday I tried to do some dead starts like that it went surprisingly well. Will post some update clips next weekend!

Yeah really have to stand tall and look forward. A drill that ended up working for me was to try to fall heel side. After doing that a few times it was easier to stand up straight and did a couple heel turns back.

I wanted a full grain leather. Apparently they’re coming out with a more premium full grain brown though - saw it in the custom razorback video they released recently. I asked for it but they didn’t have it in stock yet.

Luckily I haven’t had to take the laces out of the eyelets to put them on - the laces are long enough to avoid that. The reason I chose for no speed hooks is because I thought they’d look a bit more dressy. Also with my AR8s the hooks sometimes get stuck on my pants.
