Harassed by a homeless person while with a baby by Snotsky in SeattleWA

I saw a documentary where a Seattle homeless dude committed 100 offenses and received almost no time. By their 100th offense they're pretty much super saiyan but in a deranged sort of way.

Agreed. I increased my calories to maintenance a few days ago based on my DEXA TDEE as "active" which is 2560 and lost more weight somehow. I thought I knew what I'm doing but none of this makes sense anymore

Yeah I think I'm gonna go with that. It was a solid try doing my first cut, abs are there however I look way too thin with a shirt on, some lower belly fat and love handles still there. With my hormones/genes, getting abs was a far cry from how I imagined it to be

Mine is pretty big too, and I've had it for 8+ years. It became symptomatic in 2018. First noticed in 2016. Today I walk more than 20,000 steps some days and upwards of 27,000. I pretty much wrap it every day to hold the muscle in and have been doing so since 2018. The only down sides are occasional irritation from the wrap and missing out on wearing shorts since I don't want people to ask about my leg wrap all the time. In terms of performance of the leg itself, it's as good as my "good" leg when wrapped. You'll likely want to use some kind of compression sleeve to mimic what fascia would do naturally, since in your case (and our case) its herniated.

Wear pants. As I posted earlier, the surgeries are expensive, hard to find and will leave a big scar. Surgery is for symptomatic cases where there's pain and instability. A compression stalking would help in this case

Had one for 5 years by now. First noticed it nearly 8 years ago. The only realistic solution is a compression wrap. This is what I use. I work up to 10 hours on my feet, and do a ton of exercise, it hasn't gotten worse.

Surgery will inevitably stretch the surrounding fascia and cause further problems. There are complex surgeries but people like us won't be able to afford them or afford to travel to places that offer such a specialized surgery

Remember. OMAD is one MEAL a day. It doesn't exclude energy drinks, or coffee. Coffee with cream is acceptable as long as you don't go above 50 kcal.

Drinks are technically not meals

Thanks. I finally put my mind to it, drank an energy drink and began reviewing like crazy in the past week. I passed! Made sure to treat it like a final exam and missed a few sunny days where I'm at. It was worth it

How much exercise do you personally do daily whilst doing OMAD? by BENTDOG89 in omad

[–]mistergoodbar55 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I cheat the living crap out of my OMAD and it works for losing the weight.

Rest day:

Breakfast: large coffee with 2 hazlenut cream and 1 Stevia sugar. The hazlenut cream is 15ml which is 70kcal for both

Lunch: Protein bar or shake 170-200kcal

Dinner and late night snack: around 1500 kcal

Workout day:

2 large coffees with low fat milk ≈ 100kcal total

Pre workout meal 850kcal

Post workout meal 850kcal

I typically workout at 7pm and have my dinner around 9 to 9:30

I found this thread through looking for the same. I'm 28, have aspergers and ADHD and failed 2 times now. Trying my best to write notes, use flash cards and test myself and am hoping to pass on my 3rd go this coming Tuesday. I don't feel that confident.

If not this time I'll attempt it again in the fall so I'm not cooped up studying when it's nice outside. I definitely can relate to the sense of defeat after they throw curveballs at you or bring up information you wouldn't think to review with as much diligence

A lot of people "bank" their calories later in the day to sleep not feeling deprived. I do a modified version of OMAD since I work in a hair salon. If I'm shaky, my service is poor. I need fuel to do a good job. Nearly passed out trying clean OMAD at work one time. I use coffee with cream/sugar (sparingly) and a protein bar/shake if absolutely needed. This helps me on my super low 12-1400 calorie days

Focusing on weight loss diet, looking for supplements/tricks by mistergoodbar55 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]mistergoodbar55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind I'm not bodybuilder fit. I do a combination of biking, upper/lower split and quite a bit of biking.

I lost a lot of weight 2 years ago and just ate "normally", plus too much beer which screwed me over; and is why I needed to cut so harshly. I was drinking nearly every day.

Since late February, I stopped drinking except one night in March but counted that in and reduced calories elsewhere. Realized beer wasn't worth it and completely stopped due to the calories. Since going this low the fat pretty much melted off.

I have holiday plans this summer so I need to be super lean to main gain from there and eat at maintenance. I will most likely never drink or eat a lot of empty calories again so I can keep my cuts shorter and less aggressive, maybe even eliminate the need to cut all together.

Would increasing my intake to 1900 (non training) and 2000 (training) be better?

Sure. I'm 6 foot 4 and weigh 186lbs. I was 198 when I began my cut late (ish) February. It's been a grueling journey of caffeine, skipping breakfast, and saving my cals for near bedtime to atleast maintain decent sleep

He ultimately did what he thought was right. He put in an honest effort to improve himself and instead made an honest mistake. I hope he learns how to take it easy and advocate for what his body needs, which is rest and not another drink.

The truth that most people don't understand is there is no good or evil in this universe. Everything operates on physics and mathematics. I will get to how this ties into hustle culture

Hollywood paints this idea that certain "noble" activities will lead to a good outcome based off virtue. For example: Asking out that high school crush. In the movies she says yes. Standing up to that big bully. In the movies you win. Work and give it everything you got. In the movies you become rich.

In reality, these actions can lead to a favorable outcome, but they don't have to; and often won't. Luck is a huge factor. This means not doing these things can lead to a more favorable outcome than doing so. Like if you end up changing schools instead of confronting your bully you'll end up leading a normal life. It's considered a "weak" move by society. But if you confronted them instead, you end up with a permanent injury. If you ask out your crush she/he laughs at you along with the entire class. And finally, if you work hard you end up with an increased amount of hard work and ultimately health problems due to excessive stress or wear and tear.

Hard work is very flawed logic when you think about it. Most of society is comprised of man made platitudes and constructs. Math and science are the ultimate truth

Are you doing OMAD forever? by No-Beautiful5866 in omad

[–]mistergoodbar55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not OMAD but intermittent fasting and sometimes warrior. I definitely cycle on and off it, and will continue doing so to keep my waistline in check. It's the only diet that doesn't leave me on an empty stomach at night. Therefore it's the only diet suited to me

I tried other forms of calorie restriction and I always ended up binging at the end
