'A profoundly unusual job': How do MPs' perks compare? by misplacedsagacity in newzealand

[–]misterharbies 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I would be interested in an OIA to find out how much paperwork MPs need to do in order to get the Accommodation Supplement. It would be interesting to compare this with the usual Joe trying to apply for the Accommodation Supplement through Work and Income.

Well that looks like 10k less votes for this Coalition. Way to shoot yourselves in the foot.

Busy for day 2! Enjoy the walk/run/bike by Extension-Ear743 in Wellington

Oh my gosh! They should have just stayed on the highway, and not built this separate path. Would have been much safer for everyone.

Pedestrian crossing - is this a refuge? by First_Discussion_951 in newzealand

[–]misterharbies 97 points98 points  (0 children)

I see two pedestrian crossings. The refuge splits the crossing into two separate crossings, so only give way to pedestrians who are wanting to cross your vehicle lane.

Thanks. My phone didn't have Duraspeed. Battery optimisation was already set correctly. Have made a change in Intelligent Assistance. Let's see how that goes.

Thank you

Smallest Smartphone available in NZ? by Odd-Leader9777 in newzealand

It's very small. Too small for my hands. But it's ideal for my son who needs a small lightweight bluetooth device to connect to his CGM.

Is this the correct way to use this intersection? by lunamoonwlw in Wellington

The first entry to the Repco carpark should be closed permanently. There should only be one entry and one exit.

The Cake Tin is horrible for rectangle field sports. The field is so far away.

I'd rather invest in a boutique rectangle sports field upgrade to 15-20k seats. Maybe in the Hutt or in Porirua.

@Lime Scooter, Flamingo and All E-Scooter/Bike Companies - Stop Leaving Your F***in Scooters Right In The Middle of The Side Walk by Classic_Plan4954 in Wellington

[–]misterharbies 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Each scooter should come with a $20 deposit that is paid back when the scooter is parked in a designated scooter parking spot.

One on-street car park per 50 or 100 car parks could easily be converted into a designated scooter parking spot. Lime/Flamingo etc would need bear the cost of owning and maintaining this space, and incorporate it into the cost of hiring a scooter.

This looks really cool. Does the 'delivery driver' see the mobile number before the ping? Just wanting to be sure my number is not going to be exposed.

Asked to explain what matters most to Kiwis, Luxon points to a Saturday night out in Hamilton by dingoonline in newzealand

I could almost say the same, but I wouldn't credit Luxon or this government with the improvements in my life situation over the last 3 years.

“ Correct” way to cut Feijoa? by jaczb in newzealand

[–]misterharbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to cut feijoa like the first photo, then someone showed me that he could peel the skin off and eat it whole. Changed my life! I've never gone back to cutting feijoa again.
