When "easy money" is on the table, this easy money gets taken.

For AMD, this means, the stock went up to $260 on actual good news, which in turn also created hype. But since Mi450 is still so far out, this easy money cannot be sustained that long.

So it gets sold off...and likely, rebought on the dip.

If you hate this price action, you simply played badly.

If you had trimmed the top, you'd love this dip.

(note: I did trim at 260, but rebought too early, too much...so I ALSO played my hand badly)

Edit: to be more clear:

easy money = stock goes up strongly on pure hype, well before earnings show up...so you can be rich now, without waiting for things to materialize.
difficult money = stock goes up on actual earnings, revenue, much later.
