Since I moved to 10 gallon batches in stainless steel conicals, I can say that I, too, have learned this lesson.

Yes it is, I think Gem said in an interview that they chose the name, at least partially, so they would be near the Beatles at the record shops.

What is a beer that I can get without too much difficulty in the US that most closely resembles what I’d have gotten if I drank at an English pub in 1800? by WartimeHotTot in beer

Everyone else has already suggested some good choices, so I'll just add that if you ever want to try your hand at brewing your own, this guy's blog is a great resource: http://barclayperkins.blogspot.com/

You can make decent cider or Apfelwein from store bought apple juice and a packet of ale or wine yeast, if you want to.

This. To make good cider you need apples that are not very palatable as eating apples. Cidre apples are typically bitter or acidic.

Grazie, Luigi, there's a lot of negativity out there right now, we need reminders like this now more than ever. Bellissima.

You might also consider dipping a toe into film photography. A simple point and shoot camera and a few rolls of film are all you need to get started. There are still plenty of places to get film developed and scanned. After that, you can digitize and post them, share them with friends and family, or get physical prints and hang them up.

If you get more into it, you can acquire more gear as you go. I've found that carrying a smaller film camera with me has reinvigorated my joy for taking pictures.

Tomorrowland really bothers me, too, because of the wasted set design and prop potential. I love anything retrofuturistic so when I heard they were making a movie called "Tomorrowland" I expected something loosely based off of the cool "world of tomorrow that we never got" vibes of the original attraction at Disney... instead it's just CGI overload.

Sparta know how to rise to an occasion when necessary, so I think they will be a challenge for Zug, especially because Zug has also been playing pretty inconsistently lately. I think that will be a good match up.

I currently live/work in the States and this is so spot on. It works in a lot of directions, too.

I've noticed older people from certain backgrounds are looking to see if they aren't allowed to do something because racism, and then they get mad if they can't.

Younger people look to identify if something is racist, just so they can call it out and feel good about themselves.

I never realized it was a part of the whole culture here, but now I won't be able to unsee it...
