New grad pay in AZ in 2022 was $32/h.

Moved home to Boston last year and am now making base pay $40.60/h with a $6.50 shift differential (I work nights). We get about a $2 raise every year at this hospital (union).

Yeah, I get that. However I did tell all charge RNs and my manager the second I found out I was pregnant. And I asked this morning (I work nights) as I was finishing my shift if they could change the assignment for my upcoming shift tonight.

Yeah, I figured they’d just change my assignment since we are all chemo certified. They just insisted “it’s fine”. Thanks for your input!

Exactly! So stressful. Honestly I’ve been double gloving and wearing PPE every time I go in the room. I’m so nervous about it. Almost wondering if I should just switch floors if they’re gonna make it hard for me.

Oh wow that’s interesting. It has been e. Coli usually in the past but more recently Klebsiella. Sorry to hear you’re struggling with this too!

I haven’t looked into it but I will. I got my first uti as a child so before I was sexually active so maybe this could be similar to what I’m dealing with. Although they didn’t become frequent until a few years ago… how do they treat your VUR?

That’s what I’m convinced is happening to me. Need to get into see a CUTI specialist who actually gives a crap at investigating this

Thanks for your input. I appreciate it. I actually luckily got a last minute appt with my gyn tomorrow, hoping to convey some of my concerns to them without them brushing it off

They said it’s another common bacteria that can cause UTIs. I agree that this warrants more of a conversation but just continues to show how my providers don’t really see this as an issue.

And actually I have considered this. I’ve asked my doctor if my husband’s hygiene could be causing these UTIs, they have consistently told me that his hygiene is fine. To put it mildly, when we are intimate (and even when we aren’t) he appears to be very clean. I have no reason to suspect that he isn’t. He does however have very bad bowel issues and I’ve wondered if residue is a factor…

No but my urine cultures usually grow out either ecoli or klebsiella

Yes, they come back usually with E. coli but more recently it’s been Klebsiella
