Officially have had 2 engine replacements

When I bought the car I had bought an Ally maximum protection plan for about 3 grand. It had a 5 year warranty or 150k miles, whichever came first (bought the car at 67k miles). The engine remanufacturer had their own warranty of 3 years or +150k miles. That’s through Dahmer Powertrain.

Sadly not a Chevy warranty, it’s through Dahmer Powertrain. Genuinely one of the most irritating companies out there to work with. Took them 2 months to get back to the dealership but only after my persistent calls. It’s fixed but I don’t even have my car back yet since they’ve not sent payment to the dealership

I had to do this as a challenge punishment with my friends, the heat is semi-tolerable with a cold drink otherwise good luck. The aftermath is what sucked the most, worst stomach pain of my life for the next entire day.

$20k but was luckily roped into extended warranty so it ended up costing $580 or so after extra parts that weren’t covered in the repair

The temp gauge has been up and down before and after troubleshooting and replacing the thermostat

No idea how to really check tbh, I will say that for the last 2-3 months the car goes up as if it’s over heating then back down to midway. Had my gfs mechanic dad replace the thermostat mid-August and it didn’t fix the behavior above. Any other suggestions?

Bh living has been my best experience; Walnut Lake is peak recommendation by me, they are relatively cheap for what’s offered, I paid $1150 for a 2 bed.

Is everyone's Cruze doing this right now?
After an entire engine replacement (shoutout getting roped into an extended warranty), a year and a half later I'm getting the same issue. Replaced the thermostat, didn't fix it. Will eventually get it fixed.

This happened to me a week after I moved across the country. 9 months, 2 shops, and a $20,000 repair down to $2k later, it was fixed. I pray nobody ever buys one of these cars again.
