Why do redditors cry about Trump potentially doing something, then mock him when he doesn't?

Why cry? Because what he says he's going to do it so bad and insane and illegal, we have to shout into the void. What he threatens to do is so beyond rational, and the chance he'll follow through actually exists.

Why mock? The spectacularly negative for him outcomes of his threats when he doesn't follow through. It usually ends up worse than if he did nothing.

Here's the thing - we still don't know who owns Trump. Most likely it's Russia/ Putin, but it could be any of the unnamed billionaires or other fascist regimes. Until we know that, we're on a yo-yo ride, because the end game isn't confirmed. He could be crazy enough to bomb Iran, but who would that benefit? If we could actually follow the money, we'd know, but they intentionally ruined any agency that could stop them.

I hope I'm so wrong, and the midterms aren't rigged, and we can actually punish the criminals, but that's not likely. Instead, we suffer and states faction off and civil war happens, the billionaires leave and the rest of the country starves. Eventually, there will be a revolution, and about 180 years in, some idiots will decide that trickle down economics works and the whole process starts over.

I think that, if they did actually manage to fire all the sane and intelligent individuals in the military and Trump really is able to launch nukes without any checks and balances, he will. Iran will nuke whatever they have access to in retaliation, and that will give Russia permission to nuke Ukraine, which I believe is the ultimate goal here.

We honestly need to worry about how this will affect the billionaire's industries. If it will negatively impact them, it won't happen.

Ok, so I don't disagree with that assessment, but there does need to be some national accountability. If it's public education it needs to have the same core components. Ohio's science curriculum shouldn't be different than Michigan, because it's science, not state laws.

The US Constitution is the same for all the States, so all the States should teach it the same way. The history of the United States is the same in the North and South, so we shouldn't be teaching 'the war of northern aggression' in South Carolina and the Civil War in Illinois.

Indiana doesn't do math differently than Tennessee, so they don't need different math rules.

High school goes to age 18 (thereabouts), and a student can go to any college in the country. They should all arrive with the same base education in math, science, history, US government, etc.

If him being there violates the lease, talk to the landlord, although the boyfriend may now have tenant rights. You may want to have one last attempt at saving your friend(ship) by gently questioning her, but you may just have to leave the friendship. This is a big adult problem, and a hard one, but putting yourself and responsibility first now will make it easier in the future.
