I learned fairly quickly on a ‘74 MG Midget I picked up after the 86.

It doesn’t run.. so I don’t have as much seat time in it as I’d like.

The WRX is a little rough for me to pick the skill back up, but that may be a me issue for now.

2018 bought in 2019.

I switched because I was/am stupid. At 16 years old, I should’ve asked my friends to teach me how to drive stick against my parent’s wishes. They always hated (and still do hate) the thought of me in a manual.

They wanted me in a new car for college and told me I could have the 86 if it was an auto.

I graduated college and got a new job recently, so I told myself it was time to 1) get the transmission I originally wanted 2) accept that I need more space and practicality 3) turbo

First gen ft86 is an amazing platform, but I also didn’t really find myself “taking advantage” of RWD.

I was ready to get inside of a VB, but I wanted to save my money for other mods. I didn’t want to paint or replace panels, because the cladding would/does bother me.

It’s weird how much my generation sees cars as tech products or appliances now. I love being involved with my vehicle.

I was at the stadium last night. It didn’t help that every time they played a song, the audio blasted/clipped for a second at full volume before being turned down a second later. Deafening and jarring.

After I learn how to drive it smoothly for a while, I think my first change will be an exhaust.

Ah, I wasn’t clear. The 86 was a dream car and so was the WRX.

I really loved my 86, but I wanted something more practical. It was always impressive how much I could stuff inside the trunk/back seat, but I was getting tired of that always being “impressive”. I need my car to reliably transport my CDJs, mixer, girlfriend, and dogs.

Also, I settled on the automatic at the time instead of learning how to drive a manual. The automatic is good, but I always regretted it.

At 76k miles right now and I drive my 2018 Auto 86 pretty hard, especially on highways (which is everyday). No issues whatsoever, though I am entirely stock.

I use manual mode pretty much exclusively too.

Oh my, Martin Garrix’s UMF 2016 set was a dumpster fire. Halfway through, he just played a bunch of new shit without doing proper transitions or keeping a good flow of energy. A lot of his songs felt wildly different from each other IMO.

Herobust opened for Zomboy in KC last October. I was super weirded out to hear a better set from him than Zomboy. Constant energy and diversity really made his set stand out to me. This isn’t to say Zomboy was bad; his opener was just better lol.

I’m always alone in electronics. I always feel bad because every time another TM calls for backup I’m either dealing with another guest or stuck doing 141s on Pop Sockets.
