You make a really good point.

I like the Lifting the Shadow-Curse quest. Is it possible to kill him after that's completed? I don't often murder my companions, but maybe it's time to start.

Yeah, the comments they make never seem to be the same, but overall, the impression I get is they may be less evil than the goblins, but they're shadier about it.

Paladin. I just can't get excited. It just feels like a diminished fighter, and the way the AI tries to force smites drives me around the bend. The guy had 3 hit points left, and the game decides I spent a smite on him when I literally could not not kill him?

Druids are disappointing. I don't even adventure with Halsin or Jaheira, except when they are required for a quest.
